So we're all at panic stations for something that's 30% less severe than what we're all at least double jabbed against.

this reaction at the minute stinks

The MSM/Gov have managed to engineer that anyone who doesn't follow the narrative is an Anti-vaxer and play people off against each other. All very clever.

Soon boosted people will be used to turn against 2 jabbed people and class them as unvaccinated.
What is not following the narrative? Not being able to process that there’s a global pandemic that has killed millions of people?

You only have to look at this thread and others. On another thread somebody saying that people should give up their freedom if they aren't fully vaccinated.

As I said before, it really does remind me of the stuff closer to home with SISU / Council / Wasps. While every fucker was arguing about irrelevant things like if Joy was taking 100m a year (don't get me wrong, me included) it meant they weren't questioned about actual facts and going on.

What parties did Boris have though?

I think he was more refering to the fact that all of a sudden a 3rd booster is required, even for young heatlhy adults still overflowing with antibodies from the very recent 1st & 2nd jabs to protect us from a milder strain of covid from whcih most of the population are already vaccinated.....

The MSM narrative is fear. Fear sells. feel good stories to not make front page news. Do you remember when deaths and cases dropped that dint make front page news

Lets look at yesterday. papers pushing news that we need to close pubs and hospitality again.

I posted examples in this very thread yesterday as it was obvious that's how it would be spun.

You can't see things you don't want to. It's very strange.

As far as I can see you posted two.

One of which was the DM. The other was an unnamed source.

As I said, every semi decent source says died with, not of

Keep looking on the t'internet at news outlets to see how scary they could spin things.

Its an engineered crisis, that serves the media only, they put out this shit and then the simpletons panic, empty shelves, more stories and the cycle repeats.

I pointed out the same about the fuel crisis which was whipped up by the media as well.

Only thing with this is that it's amazingly good timing just as there was some pressure on the government.

So

Any thoughts on Omicron being 30% milder than the initial virus of which the vast vast majority of us are protected from?

Seems to have been swerved

Very alarming is that.....its going to get increasingly difficult to argue against some of the anti-vax movements by suggesting they're being fed mis-information while all the MSM are pedalling it too.....its quickly becoming a fucking alarmist panic driven farce

It's been an alarmist panic driven farce the entire time, with anyone questioning it being labelled as a conspiracy theorist.

It isn't anything unreasonable to ask questions regarding things that don't quite add up. I think more people are doing that now.

Apparently, Twitter will and can ban people for saying Vaccinated people can spread the virus.

It's very strange because of the amount of racism and misinformation on there is shocking.

I don't doubt that there are some outlets spinning it as 'died of Omicron' and not from. The Daily Mail being one, and potentially others too.

What I'm saying is that any half decent media outlet is reporting it correctly. That's the vast majority.

You're actually doing some spin yourself! You've picked out a couple of sources, a very small minority, and spun it as 'the media are lying to us and spinning the narrative!'

I picked out some of the main ones in the UK. They will spin it with headlines and bury in small print in paragraph 72 that it was "with".

Now it's gone from:

They have reported this one Omicron death in the same way that all Covid deaths are reported which is 'deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid test'. They never say died of Covid.

I can't read what I can't see. I haven't seen any that say that.

So it's gone from none to half decent... Nice Swerve.

It will be interesting to see the spread, America reported yesterday that 80% of cases were vaccinated and a third of that boosted.

How is a vaccine pass going to make much difference IF that trend carries on?

Raab has himself said on Live TV

"1 death FROM Omicron"

It's as if they don't really have a clue themselves.

Looking at France.....I'd say they'll probably make jack shit of difference....

The issue I've seen mentioned by people who seem to check out as knowing what they are on about and not people trying to whip up a frenzy is that the increased transmission more than offsets the reduced severity. That potentially means that overall the number of hospitalisations increases.

If there's 100 people and 95 have the jab , and 12 go into hospital there more vaccinated in hospital .. that will always be the case because of the sheer volume of people vaccinated .. it's deaths isn't it that's important ..

It's besides the point though , I definitely think we have been whipped into meltdown over this varient and its not on really , knowing full well its far less severe

Shit loads of people going into hospital every day
If more people get infected with something they have no clue they have and then find out on entry to hospital, it's likely that there will be more people in hospital with it

All depends how figures want to be spun and how vague they are. It's common sense.

The key thing is, how many are seriously ill BECAUSE of Omicron and how many die BECAUSE of Omicron.

To be honest I find the situation in Italy much better compared to the UK.

The countries that got his the hardest in the first wave have a greater natural immunity going forward. So add on to that a successful vaccine program and it makes things even better

Science is wonderful.
