Is the little prick defending releasing potentially infected patients into environments chocka with the eldest and most vulnerable without testing them first?

I've been waiting for someone in government to issue a correction over what Hancock said as it seems unthinkable that we were actually sending infected people into social care with some of the most vulnerable in society. Goes beyond incompetence.
Have a day off mate. There's no defence for these clowns. Not only should heads roll from this shit show of a government, but some of them should be up on criminal charges.Yeah because ‘shmmeee’ would do sooooo much better, deluded
lol, a fucking 10 year old could probably come up with a better plan than 'send potentially infected people into isolated communities of highly vulnerable people'Yeah because ‘shmmeee’ would do sooooo much better, deluded
(Troll)You can't be more than 13 surely?
Personally, I'd rather see how it goes in other countries loosening restrictions firstAre todays likely to be lower 'weekend' type numbers because of the bank holiday and then a jump tomorrow? Cautiously optimistic if these are regular numbers. The next problem will be there is no sign of an exit plan.
Hardly defending them was i, I think our testing has been dreadfulHave a day off mate. There's no defence for these clowns. Not only should heads roll from this shit show of a government, but some of them should be up on criminal charges.
What's happened here is fucking scandalous.

Yeah we should be testing everyone, I’ve criticised the government more than people on here for it, doesn’t mean everyone needs to think they are experts on the situation eg shmmeee
Yeah well we need to test them all then don’t weNobody is pretending to be an expert when they point out that sending people with a deadly contagious virus into a place where a number of the most vulnerable people live is not a good idea.
It seems mad that they have even been doing it.Nobody is pretending to be an expert when they point out that sending people with a deadly contagious virus into a place where a number of the most vulnerable people live is not a good idea.

It's mad, genuinely can not get my head around itIt's the way Hancock announces it like this is some great idea. That we're all going to be amazed by this ground breaking proposal.
Look how brilliant we are, I can now announce that as of today we are doing blah blah....
Should have been doing it 6 weeks ago you prick.

Is Hancock doing the 5pm briefing?

Who's going to be first to blink? Get *that* wrong and it's a career enderIs anywhere outside of China or Iran (who we don’t believe) at that point yet?
Denmark have started sending some kids back to school I believe. Is anywhere outside of China or Iran (who we don’t believe) at that point yet?

Also, someone (Tisza?) mentioned that Poland was loosening but I haven't heard of anything like this from any of my clients over there.
How horrible. Putting nurses through that trauma.Mine got 2!!

Just reading up on it, seems they locked down 12 days before us and tighter. Sending back kids under 11 now.
Few other places like Austria and Czech Republic too. Reading about Sweden and it’s a little misleading to say they haven’t locked down IMO, apparently they have a work from home culture already and over half are doing that, while travel networks are down 50%, plus they’re sensible in terms of health and washing hands and stuff, so they’ve done a lot of the same stuff without having to be told.

I had a brief conversation with a mate earlier whose missus is Slovakian.
He said they introduced very few measures but they closed their borders and made mask wearing compulsory early on and they havent been affected too badly.
He often gets the wrong end of the stick but if it's true then that's quite interesting re: mask wearing.
Looking at wiki it says they started screening air passengers for temperature in Feb, closed schools early March, closed all events venues and closed borders before the masks thing on 15th March, then closed all non essential stores.
They’re not even at the outbreak stage yet, only 2 deaths. On the 14th March they’d had a total of 44 cases, first death wasn’t until the 18th when they were already locked down.
Looks like their problem will be an outbreak when lockdown removed.
Also read something about Sweden having the highest population of people living alone in Europe (don’t quote me on that but definitely a higher proportion than most)
maybe I should head over there and try my luck once all this is over !
Sorry if this has been posted already but on a more positive/heart warming note did everyone see the old fella who is doing a sponsored back garden walk (100
Lengths of his garden before his 100th birthday I think)
He was aiming to raise £1k....already over £7m !!!! Legend !

Regarding the testing of residents/patients returning to care homes, I think some of the comments, about what is ultimately an additional precautionary measure, such as facilitated manslaughter, murder etc etc are way over the top
presumably this is only able to happen now due to the limited testing capacity and the previous focus on testing those admitted to hospital for showing symptoms and then the nhs workers and their families (if they have been self isolating). Correct in my view
As far as I’m aware coronavirus patients are kept in separate units away from general wards so you would hope that IF procedures had been followed (and PPE available etc) the transferred individuals wouldn’t have a significantly higher chance of being infected (and be asymptomatic as presuming if they are showing symptoms they won’t be moved into the care home in the first place) than say a worker or anyone else coming into the care home from the outside world that day ? - we aren’t expecting all of those individuals to be tested daily
Again, Im not saying the inability to test higher numbers before now isn’t a major issue, but some of the comments on here are a step too far
Ps I was actually feeling a little more positive after seeing the case numbers today, probably should’ve stuck to avoiding this thread !
