Common sense really pisses me off!!

Common sense is just a passive aggressive comment to someone who you think hasn’t understood what was said. I also find those who say it’s just common sense are the over confident types. I was told by someone on my team at work that the limit of one exercise session a day was changed when lockdown was extended. Well if so why is it now changing from one form of exercise a day tomorrow?

according to the guidelines if I'm in the park and there are 10 people around me, all strangers, who are 2 metres distance that's fine. If 3 of those people are family members from a different household we're breaking the rules.
They'd also be breaking the rules if they came to my house unless I employed them as cleaners, then it's fine. It's an absolute nonsense.
What use common sense means is use you own judgement because the government guidelines are as clear as mud!

Agree with you - I'm just saying that it is interesting that whatever decision Boris/whoever makes for 'England' is likely to be challenged at every turn as it accentuates the fact that they are a different country, Do you think that Boris/PM/whoever is leading us doesn't have saving lives at the forefront? If we were talking Trump, then I'll concede.
Is this for real?

Krankie is a terrible leader, so it doesn’t surprise me Scotland are behaving the way they are when it comes to sticking together as the UK through this
She's a good first minister and if you mean putting the people of Scotland first then good for her.

Is there anywhere I can check which borders are open where?

I was gonna drive to Ibiza but that's a bit out of the question so will probably head east.

I'll be attempting this in about 5 weeks time.

I'd try the foreign office website, or search the name of the country and travel restrictions.

As for Spain, they are quarantining all new arrivals for 14 days but that's only due to currently last another 12 days so you should be alright in 5 weeks.

To be honest, you sound desperate for a break and I'm the same but you're probably better holding on until things improve globally, I think international travel will be a massive ball ache at the minute.

Least said, soonest mended. Wasn't meant to offend anybody. Not in favour of the UK breaking up in general. Just thought it was interesting seeing opposing positions from countries within the UK, and possible political motivations ( whether real or otherwise)

My wife was looking into it this morning for driving to Costa Blanca and the best sense she could make of it is once you arrive at your destination in Spain you would have to self isolate for 14 days only going out for food, doctor appointment, chemists (basically how spain was before relaxing the lockdown) and then when you get back home in the U.K. you’ll have to self isolate for 14 days. So basically to take a 2 week holiday in Spain you’ll have to take 5 weeks holiday when you take traveling into consideration and not leave your hotel room, apartment, villa while you’re in Spain.
Staycation this year.

I feel like he has formed opinions of her from whatsApp memes. That may be unjust of me so I'll await a response.

There is evidence that sturgeon was involved in the lies exposed in the salmond trial. She is a far less popular leader in Scotland than Johnson is here. Sturgeon in normal times would be finished

She’s a serial opportunist who only went “off message” as she was banned from the last COVID meeting because she kept doing press conferences immediately afterwards to try and show influence and leadership

This virus is preventing salmond from his legal action. An action that will bring her down

Or maybe, and just a hunch, she went 'off message' because like the rest of us she recognises Johnson's message is abysmal and will cost more lives?

Just a thought.

Personally, I'd postpone it. Even if you manage it, it might not be the relaxing break you were hoping for!

Nothing you say is true you 3rd rate parody of a poster.

Shall we talk about all the people who have fell through the cracks on the scheme?

Let's actually talk a out the policy and let's see how little you know

She's not banned from the covid meetings that are for the uk.

She doesn't attend the england ones much like Boris doesn't attend the ones in Wales and Scotland.

Whets your view in her involvement in the conspiracy that ended up being exposed as a pack of lies in a Scottish court?

Who will moan?
Sunak is the only one of this useless mob who pretty much escaped criticism.
Personally if people are on furlough until October then we're in big trouble.
Perhaps this is to cover people getting re-furloughed in the event of a second wave.

Really good announcement if I’m reading it correctly. Still 80% of wages paid and no longer requiring staff to not be working? Is that right? My only question is if people are working, wouldn’t they be getting full pay? Little confused.

It's basically an extension. Nothing to fix the holes in the original plan.

They need to take valid job offers as proof of employment etc
