Home testing only available in cv3Other half has been up coughing all night. Now I’m 95% confident she just has a cough/cold/other illness but probably better to be safe about it. Gov portal for testing just says “we are very busy, please try again later”. Is that how it’s tended to be when others have tried to book?
Well I've downloaded the app anyway. It does contact tracing!
Just downloaded. CV5 is high risk apparently
I think it's the same for the whole of the MidlandsJust downloaded. CV5 is high risk apparently
Then we make do, I'm lucky enough to work from home but I feel for people who can't.

CV3 is medium risk. Don't all you CV5'ers start coming over here with your infections.Just downloaded. CV5 is high risk apparently

I don't really think pertaining risk profiles to individual postcodes in densely population cities makes all that much sense. I'd suggest it should have two levels, Coventry is a high risk place due to having some high risk areas. CV3 is a medium risk in itself but people must exercise caution. The virus doesn't understand postcode boundaries and people don't tend to live, work and socialise within them either.

And even then the benefits are still massive in terms of reducing the change of catching it and more importantly passing it onI’ll pass it on
Nah we're just gonna take a pitchfork to any c**t from Earlsdon who comes our way!
Amazing.....
Aye, that's why the app isn't the only solution. Traditional T&T + an app. Same with any other health tech.Don’t see the issue TBF. Of course only phones with modern tech can support the latest features.

You would think that if you need most people to be able to use the app you would make it so it works on the widest range of phones so yes I see a problem.
It’s something to do with the way Bluetooth works on the iPhone 6 and beforeYou want the government to nip round everyone’s house and upgrade the hardware in their phone to be capable? Or just not release an app at all?
I suppose that hinges on whether the app is actually useful at the levels who will take it up, and that level will obviously be less, the less people who are able to take it up.You want the government to nip round everyone’s house and upgrade the hardware in their phone to be capable? Or just not release an app at all?
Even at 15 % it’s effective but not as effective. It’s one of those things if you can convince your networks to use it it will reduce your risk or getting it or passing it onI suppose that hinges on whether the app is actually useful at the levels who will take it up, and that level will obviously be less, the less people who are able to take it up.
Now I don't have the answers to that, so I'm not going to comment either way...
Have to say... my networks (parents and many work colleagues) aren't able to download it, because their phone technology is too out of date!Even at 15 % it’s effective but not as effective. So the wage top scheme means the state will pay a maximum of 22% of salary towards it being the onus is on the employer to pick up the slack.
Can see the bloodbath of job loses being that much effected by this.

It sounds an overly complex scheme that will end up impacting the poorest the most, do virtually nothing to protect employment and lead to widespread destitution.
exactly you need to try and make the app usable by the most people possible
