There’s that word again “forcing”. Who is forcing anyone?
By your logic you want to force vulnerable people to be exposed to unnecessary risk, and someone in care or hospital has far less choice over where they are than an employee does over where they work.
If you say to your missus “I’m going to leave you unless you stop picking your nose and eating it” are you forcing her to stop or setting boundaries to your continuing involvement in an equal partnership?
Forcing is threatening violence or restrictions of freedom if you don’t comply. Not saying “find another job”.

Was gonna say, nobody will know the true number of anti-vaxxers until all vaccinations to those who want one have been completed.
Chucking low percentages around now is a false impression, like saying we must be going to finish 7th because thats where we are now.

I don’t have the freedom to work wherever I like. I don’t have the freedom to frequent any private business I like. You can be banned from shops or pubs for behaviour, you can be sacked for all kinds of things, you have to pass interview to get a job in the first place.
If you really don’t want to get vaccinated go and work somewhere where it doesn’t matter.

People's freedoms change all the time.
I've never been arrested at a football match but because of the actions of others I can't have a pint in my seat, though someone sat in my seat at the rugby can.
I've been refused entry to bars because of the way I'm dressed or because I've been deemed too pissed, so I'm not sure why it's wrong to apply restrictions to someone who could be transmitting a potentially life threatening virus.
I'm 100 percent with you about forcing people to have the jab but to think doing so should be guaranteed to be consequence free is the epitome of wanting to have your cake and eat it (is that what they say?!)

Yes, and like was said, this misses out people waiting for the second jab, plus all those who haven't had their slot yet.
You cannot possibly take this information now and extrapolate out that there are 20m+ anti-vaxxers out there.

And hopefully they won't need to because that will mean that the number of people currently vaccinated is enough to get on top of the virus though the way the numbers are going I fear it won't be.

Even 10% of millions is still a huge amount of people .

If you assume everyone who hasn't had a first dose is actually anti-vax, which is a huge stretch, that puts the number at under 6.4m.
By comparison there's 3.8m people who are CEV. The current advise from the government is for them to avoid places where there might be people who aren't vaccinated. There's a further 8.8m in the CV group who are advised to pay more attention to social distancing, mask wearing etc than the minimum standards currently required. What about their freedoms?
Nobody is suggesting forcing anyone to get a vaccine but you need to strike a balance between protecting those at risk & allowing them to have a decent quality of life and people who think Bill Gates wants to track them being able to go to the pub.

Nor can I but worth pointing out that prior to covid the health secretary was speaking to legal advisors about making other vaccinations compulsory due to rates dropping so maybe its not that far fetched to think compulsory vaccinations could be introduced at some stage.
Imagine there would be uproar on the back benches so the chances of it becoming a reality are probably slim at best.
