I think city should pick a game to offer tickets for just 1p to all the people on social media who claim to be NOPM with the proviso that they send in proof that they've posted on twitter, FB or the telegraph that they are no longer NOPM.
I know your joking, but in all honesty are there really still that many NOPM, I know thousands Have
given up but that's different isn't it, and as a club shouldn't we all be hoping they can be won back.

Being at uni, the example of our club saddens just about every fellow lower league fans and it's clear to even people who have nothing to do with Cov see that the fans just aren't going to come back until the owners go. If we do well, attendances will go up, I can see attendances hitting 10-15k if we're high flying... But, to hit above 15k is a push because so many people are deterred from going to home games because of the owners.

What we need is a winning team. A bit of hope. Automatic promotion a big possibility. SISU leaving would put the gates up. But if we continued losing most of the time...especially in Division 4....the gates would go down again.

Does anyone think that lots of people would stay away if we got promotions if SISU were still at our club?

Mmm...if we keep winning you won't hear one "SISU out" chant at the Ricoh.

Free tickets but you have to build your own Joy statue out of papier-mâché.

They could get Tim Fisher and Onye Igwe to judge them all on the pitch at half time and give a free season ticket to the winner. That'd be some half time entertainment (up there with the giant hot dog of a few years back).

if you look on Facebook or twitter they are everywhere. Every comment on SBITC, Robins match preview etc "NOPM". Of course we should be trying to win fans back but there are people out there who will happily go to Wembley or Arsenal but abuse people who buy season tickets saying we're the reason sisu are still here. They're the ones that can get to fuck.

We got 16k against Burton Albion with sisu here. I think a vocal minority (the ones I'm talking about above) are NOPM but most just use it as an excuse because it sounds more noble than saying "I can't stand the bad times anymore"

We won't get these crowds because of the stupidly expensive walk-up tickets. If it was £18-£20 on the gate it would be completely different. The idea of spending £50 on two adult tickets will put loads off if we are playing teams like Crawley, Newport of Forest Green.

That could well be true, but as much as I'm enjoying Mark Robbins fresh approach and the
Much improved and invigorated squad he's putting together, I don't agree with it.
Winning division 4 with record points would in no way make up for all that's gone before IMO
Whilst agreeing with you and still wanting new owners, there has to be a time when our focus is on the pitch and not the boardroom.
You can read on here what a couple of wins does to the levels of optimism and continued success will only increase the feel good factor.
If Sisu are still here we should still enjoy the winning feeling, haven't we had to endure enough misery?

Look at how many teams have to go down as far as Division three or four so they can sort themselves out. Then they get another promotion quickly. They get their winning mentality back.

For us it will be getting a winning mentality. Something we haven't had for a lot of years. The last time was under Jimmy Hill. We went through the divisions then. And we could do it again. Nobody is saying forgive SISU. But them treating us like a football team and not something to try and make a lot of money out seems to be their only choice now.

Our revival could actually have started last season with our Wembley win. The confidence is there. I certainly don't see anyone hammering us in the league. I don't even see anyone to worry us. But there will be a fair few that will see a draw with us as a good result.

That is the problem. We are used to misery. It doesn't seem right having hope. We are used to waiting for the next thing to go badly wrong. Most of us are mentally prepared for it to happen.

Completely agree, I was just pointing out that a good season in division 4 should not let
SISU off the hook, but yes of course we should enjoy any good times that come our way.
I was at Grimsby on Saturday and will be at the Ricoh this Saturday and I can tell you I
Will fully enjoy myself, but I'll never forget what they've done to our club, and still can't
See a 'real new beginning happening until they leave.

Wembley showed NOPM to be a myth
However - years and years of dross keeps fans away

if we got back to say the championship in 3 seasons, with a good season in the middle, we would get 20000 + in the championship

People want to follow a successful team and if SISU could deliver via MR a team that are successful, the fans will be back

Heard them at the three games we have played so far.
It will get less and less if we keep up with our good form.

And so it should. I have been one of those very vocal against them. But now seems a good time to give it a rest. The legals could be over now. But most importantly the boys need our backing. Anti SISU chants don't help the atmosphere. We are finally on the up. We just had a win at Wembley and now we are top of the table. OK it is only after 2 games. But it was 2 deserving wins. We should be enjoying the season and not concentrating on something we can't change.

I have called a truce on the matter. Well at least as long as they don't do something else stupid. To me it is all about backing the lads and losing my voice after every game.

So, they can drag us from our home, they can drag us through endless futile court cases,
They can leave the door open for an out of town franchise to nip in and buy the stadium
From under us.
But as long as they can give us something to cheer in Division 4, it's all good.

I think what people are getting at is that when the protests and chants happen in game time it's not great for the team. Fortunately we have a mainly new team who are yet to witness the delights of tennis balls and whistles so they are on our side. Hopefully it stays that way.

I'm not saying we should be protesting during games (though SISU out chants hurt nobody)
I'm just surprised at how a couple of wins and a potential good season in division 4 is enough
Please people, SISU should be kept squarely in the spotlight.

Depends what people are doing to put them in the spotlight, still remember when we played swindon last season and they sang about Power I think it was. Strangely it wasn't mentioned again after they took the lead.

They hurt nobody including sisu. We could be chanting about the team to try and give them a lift.

Of course protests will dwindle with success but we have to be realistic and admit that with SISU as owners the club is very hamstrung as to how far it can succeed. The best we can hope for from them is perhaps the odd short term loan here and there. The revenue from fans of CCFC should ensure we can compete at this level but then we start to struggle in League 1 to match others budgets, so that could be our ceiling without outside investment. We also have the issue of SISU cashing in player assets at the most inappropriate times, time will tell if they sell the family silver in January again, even if the club are doing well in the league table.
PUSB
SISU OUT !

Pressure needs To be kept up in the media, if the fans are quiet everyone just assumes
We are happy with our lot, the media drop their interest in our plight = SISU in clear.

There is no pressure even when the fans are shouting. If we are winning games and playing well there will be even less reporting about sisu out chants from games anyway.

If it's action and protests at the games then a lot of the time they annoyed people when we were playing shit anyway, imagine if somebody blew a whistle and put a player off in the last minute and cost us points when the majority of fans are positive about on the field stuff.

More people seem to be separating the football and SISU now than they did last season, because Robins and Widdrington seem to be doing things properly.

Are you on drugs or something?

I want everyone to get behind the team. What I would really like to see is fan unity. No more sly digs about our time in Northampton. And that works both ways. We could well be on a reason to get together and celebrate this season.

So where did I say about forgiveness for SISU? They have a very long way to go for that. To me it would be us getting back to the Prem and building us a brand new stadium in Coventry. And I'm not sure if that would be enough. And I can't see it happening either.

So you agree that we should get behind our team like I said but you try to make out that I said something that I never. That is my exact point. Stupid bickering and point scoring instead of unity. Somehow I hope we can get over what has happened and we can become one again.

I'm not calling for match protests, I am enjoying the up turn in our fortunes (on the pitch)
I am just staggered at how quickly people are willing to forget what gone before.
That's all:emoji_pensive:

Nobody is forgetting things because they are channelling and focusing on getting behind the team and enjoying wins. The same as on the full time whistle or when George Thomas scored at Wembley, which people suddenly stopped to think about SISU? Not many if any, people were enjoying it.

Is it just about personal re-assurance? Why does what a few other people sing at a game show whether people have forgotten or not?

OK. So who said forget? If for some reason we ended up in a much better place than when they took over they might be forgiven. But I will never forget. None of us ever will.

Personally I stopped going on a regular basis because it ceased to be enjoyable and because of my own budget constraints. I've never supported NOPM as I don't believe it will achieve anything other than the ultimate demise of the club. I genuinely believe that if SISU somehow manage to get us back to mid table in the Championship, then most of the protesters would disappear and the crowds would return to high teens or even 20k average.

Agree entirely. Hate the offfield stuff and will criticize that, but we seem ( SISU seem ) to have got the message. We had a constructive pre season ( although pre season games were sometimes at short notice ) and have the right approach for this league. The court cases rumble on, but promotion after winning a trophy last season would really get things moving. I would forgive SISU - if we were back in the Championship with a well organized club and players being paid what they are worth ( not more than )allowing the club to survive.

Biggest off pitch problem would have to solved to ensure stability- where are playing for the next 10 years at least?
