It used to be packed in those two blocks for the first 5 years of the Ricoh. I switched my ST seat to try and keep closer to the atmosphere, plus I had my young daughter with me at matches then. I nomadically went from Block 23 to Block 29 to Block 17, finally refused to buy an ST in 2012 { Still went though most games } then the hedge fund cretins really broke the habit with Northampton and then after that my attendance slowly declined until a spike under Mowbray and when I could get a good seat for £18.Wish it was me. Can understand people who do when we're winning easily or getting hammered but why would you leave when its level.it did shock me seeing so many people leave at 85 minutes when we were pushing for a winner. Its not like there is even a crowd to get a head start on.
This is me, rattles - I've done just that. My second season of boycotting home fixture because of our shite owners. I attend a handful of away games only, mostly but not entirely grounds which I've not visited before.The game was poor,the atmosphere was poor, in fact we all said we should have stayed in the pub.And how about the away support or lack of it ? Pathetic. I hear a fair few fans go to the Butts to watch the winning rugby team. It is tempting,but I'd probably feel disloyal going even though it is my home town club.
I left in the 94th minute I think. It was about 3 and half mins into added time. We were pushing and then they won a silly free kick in our half and I thought to myself, I can't sit here and watch Crawley amble up and take 2 and a half minutes to take this free kick, so I left.it did shock me seeing so many people leave at 85 minutes when we were pushing for a winner. I genuinely like the game so getting a season tkt up at BPA wasn't a big deal - I still need my regular fix of weekend sport and crucially it has to be supporting my home town club. You're absolutely right about the 'mutiny' - I know a few people who were City regulars as well as recognising a few faces, coupled to that, people who I know point out in the stands others that have changed codes.
I haven't had a season ticket (City) since 2002/03 - owing to work shift patterns. It's got even worse now with 1 out of every 3 weeks that would allow me to attend midweek fixtures. Given the amount of games at this level that occur midweek it just doesn't make money saving sense for me. That said, if and when the scumbags leave/sell up, I'm straight back in with a season ticket. 100%. Of course I can't comment for everybody but I'd like to think the majority of us are just staying away, we haven't gone away.

Historically the income per head has been between £10 and £12 (this accounts for excluding VAT, free and discount tickets, season tickets and walk up full cost etc). I was told from a reliable source that this season the club has budgeted on crowds being an average of 9000. So say as an estimate, due to the price hike, the income per head budgeted for CCFC is £11
Currently CCFC average home gate in the league is 7650 that would mean total income has been less than budget by around £148,500 for the 10 matches so far . For CCFC to hit an average of 9000 attendance for the season the remaining games of the season crowds will need to be 10,050 for each of the next 13 home league games. Every game below that 10050 then the average needed to hit budget increases as does the budget deficit.
The £148500 excludes the potential for losses on the 4 cup games so far which in total brought in 12,139 fans
Home attendances stay at around 7650 for the season and income will be £340K below budget

Meanwhile, very few extra fans would be attracted, meaning little extra revenue....so overall, the club would be out of pocket.
