Missed this one. Barry Newman, Kowalski in cult road movie Vanishing Point and the eponymous Petrocelli passed back in May aged 92.

Barry Newman was superbly, effortlessly, cool in that film. Pretty good in Petrocelli too, as I recall, don't think he ever did finish that house.

Two Lane Blacktop, includes what I think is the one and only acting appearance of Dennis Wilson, of The Beach Boys.

V sad. Didn’t think anyone could replace Donnie Munro as Runrig’s frontman but Bruce was great. Not as creative in his songwriting I thought but had a real presence on stage

Only found out about Mike Yarwood's passing this evening.
He had a breakdown in the early nineties as I recall and that was the end of his career. He never came back.

Yes David McCallum, best known for Uncle as you say but he's popped up in quite a lot of classic films and TV. Quite liked him and glad he was still active in his later years in NCIS. A decent obituary on BBC news too.
He played a great part in the BBC drama Colditz in the 70s, which i remember from my childhood.
Everyday is a school day......Never knew David McCallum did this.......
