I'd be angry if, while a genocide is taking place, my interviewer was speaking to me solely for a "Corbyn loves terrorists lol" gotcha. It's really a sign of the moral cesspit the media is that the c**t is still prominent.

Because Corbyn is naive at the best of times. But what else did he expect from being interviewed by Piers Morgan?
As you say he's a c**t, and he was only going to go into that interview looking for one thing - and Corbyn handed it to him on a gold plate.
Because Corbyn is naive at the best of times.
He was fantastic in 2017. Went downhill steadily and then rapidly thereafterExactly, I think that's the point shmmeee was making at the start really, he's just not very good at this.

It is indeed.Bassem Youssef tore Morgan a new one in his interview. Worth looking it up if you haven’t seen it already.
Exactly, I think that's the point shmmeee was making at the start really, he's just not very good at this.
That's a fair point, I'm not sureBut what else did he expect from being interviewed by Piers Morgan?

Did for him completely not just because of the way the vote went, but his refusal to back a line showed her was incapable of leadership. He had to either go with his personal view, or embrace his party's view under the spirit of in it together. To do neither was utterly feeble really. His backtracking on Brexit did for him - if he’s stuck by his natural anti immigration and anti EU stance he’d have ironically been in a far stronger position when the election took place

To be honest unions are mostly those now too. Though anyone who ‘does’ anything does get pushed up the chain quicklyHe was great while no one took him seriously and there were no foreign policy issues. Once people started challenging him he falls apart.
He’s spends all his time around people who agree with everything he says and has real trouble once he’s outside that bubble. That’s a deal breaker for anything more than a constituency MP. And not particularly great for that.
This goes back to my theory about the left losing competent negotiators and leaders with the loss of the unions and replacing them with activists who just want to shout and hold placards.

Exactly. Why has the TUC got a view on Gaza or whatever? Like i get it. Solidarity and everything. But I just wish the left was a bit better at keeping its eyes on the prize and playing its own area instead of insisting on everyone getting involved in every cause. It causes constant purity spirals and endless gotchas. And builds this bunker mentality where it’s hard to reach across the aisle at all or take a moderate position for expedient reasons in your particular circumstances.
I got cold looks at union meetings if I opposed the use of union funds, ie members’ subs, to send delegations to Gaza, Calais etc.Exactly. Why has the TUC got a view on Gaza or whatever? Thank God the wage price spiral was avoided

It's because the party that once represented the needs of the working class hasn't done so to any great extent for many years and barely even pretends to these days.

You been hacked mateHow exactly does it help them get a better deal from their employer? Not all left wing institutions are interchangeable.
he's rightYou been hacked mate
WankerState of this, seriously
The TUC isn't a trade union in itself, there is no employer with whom it has a relationship. The Labour party derived from a motion at Congress. I get your point to an extent tbh but I also get why nominally left wing organisations might leave their lane at times. How exactly does it help them get a better deal from their employer? Not all left wing institutions are interchangeable.
