We’re overplaying a bit.

Kane does look better with two quick, direct wingers. Much better than when someone like Foden is playing there.

It’s been a decent performance, lots of potential in these two performances. I like how we’ve been controlling the game tonight, it’s been an improvement on Ireland.

That all said, this is a group where we should get 100% record as we shouldn’t be in League B, all due respect.

The litmus test will be how we get on in League A presuming promotion.

Still not keen on players refusing to shoot when the shot’s on, but that’s ingrained in them I suppose.

So much tippy tappy stuff in and around the box when they’ve got 10 men back there defending.
They’ve got 10 men back when they’re 10 men down, that’s fine by us.

These games aren’t going to be played at 100% intensity. Carsley mentioned he was managing players minutes. The importance of these games is similar to preseason, we’re building a style of play to prime us against the teams we struggle to control possession against.

Not bad. Could/should’ve been a few more. Would worry about how open we’d be on the break against better teams but he might change things up for them I guess

In all seriousness, it would be nice to see more efforts on goal instead of always trying to take an extra touch. Especially when already in a comfortable lead.
Believe or not, we had 22 shots in total which is a lot. There were moments where we should’ve shot when we passed and vice versa. Overall it was a good performance despite some defensive wobbles. I think Carsley is likely prioritising his attacking tactical ideas before looking at the defensive side. His U21 team didn’t concede a single goal at the U21 Euros which was impressively dominant!

In the grand scheme of things the difference between beating Finland comfortably 2-9 and pummelling them by 4 or more goals to nil is academic.

Why do loads of people leave England games early?
Cause who wants to queue for over an hour for the Tube/Train for the sake of 5/10 mins of a Nations League game against Finland - Plus the M1 was shut northbound for three junctions last night making getting home even more of a ballache

I know people in the travel club who give their tickets away for games like this just so they get the loyalty point for their away/tournament tickets

All a bit crap isn’t it though. I’d be a tad disappointed if I was Madueke making my England debut at a half empty Wembley.
