So what about the 20,000 wages cut back last week?
We'll get feck all of that!
I don't see how Thorn expressing he has a list of players he'd like to try and get in the hopeful eventuality the transfer embargo is lifted makes him (oh how I love this phrase) a "SISU puppet"?!
Fisher's a moron, he's blurted out something after the final game that he couldn't promise and now looks even more stupid. But it does seem just like another public bargaining tactic, which I'm really starting to get tired of.
I don't-I think he'll say 'This group of lads is a really great bunch who I wouldn't swap for anyone else-good thing, as I can't get anyone else anyw-oops shouldn't have said that'
Don't think he's a puppet as such, but the board did choose him for a reason.
1. He was the cheap option
and
2. He won't make waves. We've had that one little wobble but alll seems to be forgotten and forgiven on that front and it's all apparently back to the norm.
Who on here doesn't think AT will come out and say "We'll just have to get on with it?"

andy thorn thought we could bounce back straight away to :facepalm::facepalm:

Following relegation to League One, Fisher is hoping that SISU will agree his budget aimed at securing promotion back into the Championship next season.:facepalm::facepalm:
I just don't get why people find that a bad thing though? He's got a job and keeps in line because of that job. It's not exactly double agent treachory is it!
I hate these stories also. This is something that doesn't need to be said in public, it's just scaremongerin and trying to get a reaction from the powers that be. I'd rather sit back and see what happens when there's real news to come out, something concrete about our future.
It's a bad thing because many, many managers would simply not work under such constraints.
This is the main worry everything else is just smoke and mirrors. If SISU push to the end of May before they finally give way we will start the new season -10 points DIV 2 here we come. For me the main issue is getting the accounts signed off so we are still in the league next year and without penalty points
I hope he does. I would be having thinly veiled digs at the owners all season long.
Don't mind him saying 'we'll just have to get on with it but it's going to be very tough,' but don't want him to be saying 'we'll just have to get on with it but we feel can be pushing for the top 6.'
This squad, no additions, one or two sold, will only result in a struggle. Surely we all recognise that don't we?
And many, many would. And many, many do. Doesn't mean Thorn's a "SISU puppet" or not fit for the job. In fact, him persisting with the job in the face of adversity is the least I am worried about.
Wasn't me who called him a puppet.
Thorn will hang on to the bitter end he has a job as a Manager, no other club would employ him in this role.Wasn't me who called him a puppet.

So as long as SISU pay him the is their man. Would you leave a job without any chance or re-employment?
so basically if we'd just spent maybe 500 grand on players (and maybe stayed up) last year in the long run we would've saved loads of money.....now i'm no business man but it took me at least 2 seconds to work that one out!
Yep.
Left a job before on principal.
