I don't think it really works unless they're players that have been properly scouted and are preferred by our recruitment department.

I'd be conscious about replicating the Bournemouth/Wilson scenario where we just ended up receiving dregs that were nowhere near good enough.
Player swaps/makeweights get spoken about a lot more than they actually happen

He obviously wants to be a big fish in a small pond by flouncing over thos move to little Lisbon. He'd get swallowed up and spat out in the PL and he knows it. Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at Rangers or Celtic.
I bet Rangers and Celtic will be.

Well then why do European competition level players end up in mid-bottom half PL teams? Because they’re paid more here. It’s not a delusion is it, just how the world works.

It's probably more to do with the cash rich English clubs tempting the players' own clubs with inflated transfer fees to be honest

Here we go. First of the big Premiership money transfers is in. Neves leaves Wolves for a record fee. Let’s see if they come in for Vik now,

Also, Rice to Man City should be wrapped up soon. West Ham with a load of wonga. Will be surprised if they don’t bid for Vik.

So, the latest stories from Portugal say that the Sky Blues are now content with £17 million from Lisbon for Gyokeres

You joined this site on Wednesday and keep pushing this agenda in every post. If you had half a braincell you would at least try and cover your tracks even a little bit.

Apparently, I am not allowed to post comments originating from Portugal but yes, this looks like the story I saw earlier

With Prem deals happening and clubs picking up large wedges it’d be a bit, well.. how should I put this?

Fuckingdumbasstastic not to wait another few days for potentially another £3m

Edit to add: Unless Sporting are paying all 17m upfront and we get a fatfucking sell-on clause. Then I’ll book him the Easyjet myself

Wolves now have some cash and next week West Ham will have a mega pot.

Wolves have a fuckload of debt they need to serve to get close to complying to FFP rules hence Neves being sold. They aren’t spunking big money anytime soon.

West Ham are a different story once Rice is sold.

If the report is true, being happy with an offer, and accepting it are two different things. Vik will hopefully want to wait a few days to see what, if anything, else is on offer.
I don't really believe what the reports say regarding it being a done deal as far as Vik is concerned.

If say West Ham are interested then they would have already made contact with his agent.

What can I say, we’re just a bunch of beta woketards who are prepared to settle for less than £60 million. Need more alphas like you at the negotiating table.
It would be asking too much for him to a) be able to read and b) have enough of a brain to work out I actually agree with him about Gyokeres having a value. It's almost like the last couple of months where I've been suggesting his contract is still plenty looking enough for a fat fee hasn't happened - and I thought I was boring twisting myself! Clearly I need to drone on more!

But I am allowed to be amused at the responses to his meltdown at the same time.

It seems this is a move he wants.

He has more power in this game than the club in reality

To a degree yes. I am a bit surprised if he wants just one club however, as he'll have his pick of a few!

If he does want this move to Sporting how does that affect other clubs desire to sign him, would they think it's not worth trying to sign a player who's preference is somewhere else.

Normally a club already knows if a player is interested before they make a bid.
When Man City bid for Grealish, plenty of Villa fans were stunned when the move happened: they shouldn’t have been surprised. Man City knew Grealish wanted the move well in advance.
There has been interest in Gyokeres but to date, it doesn’t appear that a PL club has lodged a formal bid. It is therefore possible that those clubs know that Gyokeres only wants a move to Lisbon.
Or just possible that WHUFC are waiting to sell Rice before they bid.
Frustrating for us
