O'Hare bids (12 Viewers)

I don’t have an issue with selling one of our key players. It’s how the football world works.

I have 3 concerns:

if it’s circa £6m, then a second player may need to go too.

if it’s circa £6m then that may not give Robins much if anything to reinvest

if it’s £6m it might be ok value now but if COH stays and scores 7 by Xmas you can double that price in January. He’s at his market low. All action but less output. If that changes so do the level of clubs interested in him.

If Burnley are such a good proposition and such a 'big' club 15 m should be no problem for them. We really shouldn't accept anything less.

When there does not seem to be a queue of potential interested parties why should the only bidder offer more?

I haven't been posting as often recently as I seem to have a stalker
I've had him on ignore bur no doubt he's hovering over his keyboard waiting for every post I make
But he shouldn't bother
I'm afraid COH is on his way to Lancashire
It's not fair to blame anyone at the club
The personal terms are astronomical and virtually any player would want to take advantage of a life changing offer like this
But of course the club still have power and we have driven a hard bargain
Certainly more than the £5m Fulham offered
If there is any consolation it's that we are in a stronger position to demand a higher fee for Gus if a wealthier club comes in for him in similar circumstances with a stupendous contract offer

Sad news, but your last point is a bit concerning. If a club offers x 3 in terms of salary to entice the player, it implies they then offer next to nothing in terms of a purchase price to try and unsettle the player (re: wages) How can a player be offered a salary before any sale has been agreed. That seems plain wrong. If C O'H is off, I think we all wish him well (except for 2 games) and await with interest what we do between now and the end of the transfer window.

Shed any light on the will they/ won't they reinvest any of the money argument?

Figure being rumoured from a conversation that blatantly didnt happen 😂

Think logically for a second, why would a) overson know the inner workings of a transfer deal including the back and forth and b) even in the 0.0000000001% likely hood that he does know why the hell would he then tell a random person at a pre season friendly

Some people are so desperate to go boo Sisu that they will cling on to any old shit that is posted on here without actually thinking it through

There are obviously conversations happening and we are obviously haggling on a price otherwise kompany wouldn't have said what he did the other day, but let's just wait and see what happens rather than proclaiming that we are back to the dark days without any actual evidence

It's fairly consistent with what he's been saying on here to be fair.

What's your thoughts On MR getting a slice of the transfer pie BD, or even if the wages will be made available to him?

I don't really wish him well, couldn't give a monkeys if he does well at Burnley or not tbh. Preferably not actually.

Are we at least getting 10m for him

I hope he pokes himself in the eye replicating his sunglasses stunt in training and misses the first 6 months of the season.
Off topic, but I actually had to miss a couple of games back in the day for a grazed eyeball!!
Had signed for a non league club down where I was at Uni. Was due to make my debut on the Saturday- there was a Uni Halloween ball on the Friday night...
Thought I'd pop along for a bit.... not drinking of course, unfortunately, a girl dressed as a witch came to give me a hug, but poked me in the eye with the star on the end of her magic wand!
Was agony, didn't go down well with the manager, and had to miss a few days of my placement too... sorry, got poked in the eye with a magic wand!!....

Unless there's a substantial sell on and we can see a big sum come in at some point in the future. Just not against us.

Heard something Mark?

Not heard an actual figure, but heard less than £10m. I guess we'll have to wait and see, sure the actual figure will come out somewhere. To be honest, the important thing is whether we can at least reinvest some to replace with a couple of quality players. I'd be disappointed if the £6m figure is true but suspect it's not far off.

Oh well, useless Villa c**t who couldn't hit a barn door anyway. Big headed bald Belgian wanker is welcome to him.

This is the downside of players and fans having a connection, it hurts when they leave.
We had years where we were volunteering to drive the whole squad to their next club.

If you'd told the me growing up with us in the Prem, who only saw us play Burnley when we tonked them 3-0 in one of the cups, that they'd be nicking one of our best players I'd have howled with laughter.
I struggle to get over those days, have to accept I'm 37 and things have changed a lot.
