That’s only because Callum Doyle is the absolute bollocksBe a bit random to have him on the bench all season then have him back.
Yes, TBF Doyle's progress this season has been stunning. Panzo was part of a very solid backline pre world cup and it only really went tits up in the new year. That’s only because Callum Doyle is the absolute bollocks
In fairness he was preferred over Rose on the bench. The defence has generally been superb this season and protected Wilson brilliantly so little reason to change from Jan onwards. Panzo is still a work in progress and will have plenty of improvement left in him. Robins and Viveash will have seen enough to know if they think there is enough potential there. Also, remember the Sunderland fans seemed to say Doyle burnt out for them last season at League 1 level. Doubt many of them would have said he would do so well this season.Be a bit random to have him on the bench all season then have him back.
If we want to progress, we can't really be going for downgrades on what we had this year (Doyle). It is the job of recruitment to be scouring the market for a Doyle replacement (difficult), rather than settling for Panzo. Unless he's agreeing that he'll be happy to be part of the squad.
Unless they are trying to be cryptic and Doyle / JWE staying at ” Sky Blue “ Man City and McNally and BNC and Panzo signing perm here.
Looks like the team just announced lifetime contracts for Panzo (and Doyle, and McNally, and BNC, and JWE…..)
They're all off to LazioUnless they are trying to be cryptic and Doyle / JWE staying at ” Sky Blue “ Man City and McNally and BNC and Panzo signing perm here.
Probably overthinking here, but maybe CCFC social media trying to plant an Easter Egg here.
But as it stands we only have 1 CH at the club at the moment, and he's not going to play every game at his age.Be a bit random to have him on the bench all season then have him back.
Would depend, as ever, on price and what he wants. Quite happy with him if cheap and pushing for a place, less happy if not so cheap and considered first choice! But as it stands we only have 1 CH at the club at the moment, and he's not going to play every game at his age.
If we could sign Panzo on a permanent, it gives us another CH option and will free up a loan place.
And he was only on the bench because we had 2 other loans who excelled. The chances of getting both back are slim to zero.
to be fair he basically played every game up until we signed McNallyBe a bit random to have him on the bench all season then have him back.
I believe that Panzo with a decent run and more confidence he would be a solid championship player.
to be fair he basically played every game up until we signed McNally
And Robins chased him for a couple of years so Ady Viveash obviously rates him.
But we only had McFadz, Dolye, Panzo and Rose, Doyle was having to play out of right because Rose wasn't trusted, then Fadz was injured Doyle played central and Rose came in. Once he was in direct competition for a place he hasn't managed to get much game time.to be fair he basically played every game up until we signed McNally
Panzo got injured and couldn't displace Doyle. But we only had McFadz, Dolye, Panzo and Rose, Doyle was having to play out of right because Rose wasn't trusted, then Fadz was injured Doyle played central and Rose came in. Exactly, 4th choice Centre back with everyone fit.Panzo got injured and couldn't displace Doyle.
You’re not wrong, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t a good addition nonetheless.Exactly, 4th choice Centre back with everyone fit.

We don't want to be depending on McFadzean though. He's done amazingly well to play so well so often the past two seasons, but one day he'll fall of the cliff and do a De Zeeuw, and we need the players in place to step in whenever that happens.Panz and Fadz with A.N. Other as the right CB would work. Fadz was a great support to the young lads so I can only see bright things for Panz if he came back and was given the time to work with Fadz and discover his ability.
But fine margins as he wasn't million miles away from being in the starting line up and few time she got back in he didn't look out of place most of the timeExactly, 4th choice Centre back with everyone fit.

Side note: great use of ersatz.Wouldn’t be surprised at all. Long term target, Forest don’t really need him, and it’s not easy to find decent left footed CB’s.
He is an ersatz Doyle, but we all consider Doyle a potential England player so it’s hard not to be in comparison.
