Not so sure very erratic in challenges , liability to get sent off too , great league one player , championship step too far for him I think
How many times has he been sent off?

At least twice if I remember this season for erratic challenges more than others in the team for sure

Take that back he hasn’t been this season but he hasn’t played a lot but I remember last season he was a couple of times for some erratic challenges

Last season doesn't matter, football is ruthless. Look at Moore, a poor run of games and he's no longer first choice.
Same with Dabo, the only difference is Dabo is out of contract so he's off.
I'm sure Moore would be in the same boat if his contract was up.
Kelly found his form and got an opportunity at just the right time and gets another year, that's just football for you.

People are allowed to go off topic - why couldn’t the comment be about Dabo?
Don't remember Dabo starting particularly regularly at the start of the season. Kane, Eccles, Burroughs all got starts. To say Dabo was very good first half of the season felt an odd comment. Seemed worth checking before folks got into loads of back and forth before realising the post wasn't about Dabo! 🤷‍♂️

I’m amazed by how many want Panzo back. He’s not good enough.

I rate Panzo. I wouldn't be averse to him signing

I sort of agree, some big weaknesses. But does he have the potential to develop? If you can bring his weaknesses up near his strong points you would have some player!

When you look at the amount of players we need in the team and squad - how many finished articles can we afford?

yeah I’m sure he can be develop so I can see your point but the flip side of yours is how many unfinished articles can we afford in the back line?
robins knows best so I’ll trust his instincts but for me, I wouldn’t have Panzo back.

But he wont get himself fit, his hips are fucked

They might be, I really don't know. Then again you don't come across as a medical expert so I doubt you know either!

He has been a good player for us, and was an important one in his first 2 seasons particularly. If he could get fit and return to that form he is easily good enough to play in the Championship still. If not then yes League 1 is more likely, but regardless of that his time here doesn't deserve to be ridiculed in the manner you chose.

A lot of people said the same about Sheaf and Vik
I trust in Robins and his staff
If they do get JP back then they obviously see more in him than some of us do

We had Panzo, McNally, Doyle, Norton-Cuffy and Wilson Esbrand last year in back line. Eccles, Burroughs and Howley coming through. It did us no harm.

We will have to make 3 or 4 key signings but there will be several gambles. It is signing players with the right attitude that will be key, players who are hungry and want to learn.

Jonathan Panzo is a talented footballer and seemed a really nice guy outside ground v Middlesborough (game 2 of 3). Yes he can make mistakes( certainly did at end of play off) but I would be very happy to see him as a permanent signing.

Doyle is a potential England captain in the making I reckon, given time and the right environment.
I think he is quality btw and seems to have an excellent personality and wouldn't bet against him playing International level but I didn't think he was vocal / commanding in a way to have shown to be "captain material" as such. It may have been something I never noticed though.

He is also 19-20 so that leadership / vocal / commanding skills will be developed as he progresses.

Panzo was fine. With a run of games started looking quality then injuries hit and he lost his place to Doyle on merit. In his bit part roles in latter part of season he looked shaky again and out of practice. Standard really. He would be more than good enough with a prolonged run as a first choice.
