When I saw the title Pato, I got excited thinking we were bringing in a Brazilian baller...

If it's just for 6 months I don't see the issue, I've always liked him, but he we're about 7 years too late.

If this happens then he's cover at 10 and can sometimes allow Rudoni to play deeper

No anti Jamie Paterson but there are much more important positions to fill

I thought it wasn’t happening?

Lot of people saying Patersons a 10, and yes over his career he has been. But he's 33 now and the legs he had to nake runs through the lines aren't what they used to be.

When hes deployed you'll see we will be in a flatter 3 in midfield.

And people saying Rudoni can play the box to box role, name me a time he's made a tackle in his own half this season

Hes all.good on the offensive but the bloke can't tackle

So the plan is to move to a 4-3-3.

Feel likes a mythical unicorn this season the amount of times it’s been mentioned by never happens xD

Now saddle the important shite, is Rak a perm or loan 🤣

If one of the attractions of Lampard was his profile could attract a better player than we ordinarily could, it’s not a promising start.
What do you expect? You pay over the odds at this time of the season. Give him the next 4 months to try and get a contract for next season. His experience will help us out. 4 months pay on a player without a club won't break the bank. Then start again in the summer.

Not every player has to be signed with a long-term future in mind.

Sometimes players are brought in to simply act as a temporary stopgap. If he's coming in I wouldn't be all that surprised if it's just on a deal until the end of the season.

That being said, this does feel a bit of a SISU-esque signing.

And likely cost a fee and higher wages. IF JP is until summer, I can see sense in it. This is such a bad time of year to start trying to rebuild squad.

Agree in regards to time of year. I wouldn’t bother with Paterson, Thomas or anything like that nor would I be pursuing Rak Sakyi or letting go of Lati and BTA.

I don’t see the benefit of signing anyone who won’t be here in a years time.

Yeah such a tough window January is. Patterson will probably be just a stop gap, fill a hole and do a job till the summer where we can do more of a rebuild.
