Two good games today. The atmosphere at Morocco v Belgium was insane. The Moroccans outnumbered the Belgians by at least 10-1 and it sounded like it too. My ears are still ringing now. No idea what was up with the Belgian players but from the off they were falling out with each other and not playing as a collective unit. Germany v Spain was a decent game. The draw helps a bit but Germany are still in trouble. South Korea v Ghana at Education City and Brazil v Switzerland at 974 tomorrow. Been looking forward to seeing 974. It’s an interesting one.

No idea tbh. Always best not to count. More than previous tournaments but nowhere near what reports indicated what we’d spend. Drinks are a bit more than what they are in a big European city but not by a huge amount. Eating out and Ubers are very cheap and supermarkets are less than home across a big shop. Our apartment sleeps 4 and is less than what you’d pay for most hotels at home. Tickets are always a big outlay but they are less than they were 4 years ago. The metro and buses are always free which is a big help.

Big Moroccan population in Amsterdam as well. They're always causing a lot of problems to be honest.

Not heard it kick off yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if something goes down.

Eni: “would you put Bale and Ramsay in this Wales team (to face England),John (Hartson), knowing that they’re off the pace?”
John: “Yes, in this formation (4-3-3 with Bale RW and Ramsay RM).”

Can’t see there being much of a scramble to get Big John on anyone’s coaching staff. Deary me.

1-0 Cameroon, centre half Castelleto with a tap in.
This game has been punctuated by a ridiculous amount of play acting, in all honesty. From both sides.

Cameroon no.3 got his knackered caved in by Tadic. Flying knee it was.

So, what do we think for the England Wales game?

I do think the only way we will lose will be if there is a tight game and then a wonder goal from the likes of Bale, or there's a dodgy VAR, or sending off in Wales favour.

England only need to avoid defeat to progress.

My guess is a valiant effort from Wales and it being a close game at times, but England running out 3-1 winners in the end.

Oh and can I add one thing. We HAVE to finish top. Not 2nd.

I am in Rochester at the Rochester Christmas market on Saturday and of we finish 2nd, the game is on Saturday afternoon. Top and it's 7pm Sunday.

Will be very peed off if we now finish 2nd.

I’m hopeful of a much better game than Friday.

Wales know that anything but a defeat will send them out and they have the extra incentive of playing England. They’ll try and attack us which will leave space in behind for us to attack.

Hodgson’s terrible 2016 team managed to beat Wales at their height. I think we should manage it. Then the real stuff starts.
