Simple rule for goalkeeper shithousery, if the goalkeeper goes down without any forced contact then the Referee ensures the trainers come the field to him and then after the goalkeeper decides he is fit to carry on the Referee should ask the captain to nominate an outfield player to leave the field of play for 30 seconds!

Agree with everything you've said, but they're a little club aren't they. All protect each other and blame everyone else other than themselves.

It's the fact almost every referee is consistently bad that is telling. I genuinely believe they are infiltrated, hence the reason David Coote has suddenly been "disgraced".
I’m not sure it says what you think it says
I think it’s a difficult job to do and their professionalism is heads and shoulders above players
That said ….

The appalling standard is ruining the game. I can’t remember the last time that a player (particularly GK) was booked for time wasting. The obligatory yellow used to be shown deep into stoppage time, but now we aren’t even getting that. Yesterday, Cooper knew exactly how to play the game, because the ref was too busy waddling toward the centre circle, facing the opposite direction.

I also make the the 4th game in a row that the keeper has feigned injury in order for the rest of the team to regroup and speak to the manager, because we were on top.

Add to that the yards gained with every throw or free kick, penalty appeals waved away and other bizarre decisions, summed him up. Not the worst by any stretch, but as someone mentioned above, when both sets of fans are bellowing ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’ and ‘you’re not fit to referee’, it speaks volumes.

The time added on rule endorsed at the beginning of 23/24 (post World Cup) vanished pretty quickly. Can’t see the logic of reverting to how it was. Expected nothing less from a Chris Wilder team. Horrible, little toad.
There is the 4th official, they seem to ignore the problem and let them add the time hopefully but then we have the likes of Wilson, it's infuriating,we never seem to get the benifit apart from that added time, and of course they can potentially go up the other end and score, like Wilson away.
The game is wrecked, referees willfully don't enforce anything when it comes to maintaining standard rules, continually changing the law's of the game under the pretext of improvement whilst coaching teams are continually looking to break them!!We see you PGMOL!

Never really rated Bond but it shows the lack of top English officials really. Bond got promoted from the Championship to the Premier league last year and that’s the stark reality of where we are unfortunately. Obviously he’s “competent” but he’s no Micheal Oliver.

40 seconds for goal kicks
Same for throws
The one that can’t be contradicted is out of the keepers hands
They have to start managing it
Gonna encourage my lad to
To be fair grassroots they rarely hold on for 6 seconds
You are right to be fair and if there is a slight delay regarding the keeper a “let’s go keeper” usual does the trick. If they then persist in time wasting a Caution should be administered for “Delaying the restart of play”

I've thought recently why don't one of the opposition players stand there literally counting it down? Ref can't ignore it then surely.

Why not the indirect kick as stipulated in the rules?

It’s proving difficult to contact PGMOL! Almost like they don’t want to be bothered by us plebs who ultimately are paying their wages. Tye contact details I got were for the referees association who, whilst their office manager replied, wre unable to answer why this law is not enforced as “the issues are totally out of their hands and beyond their remit”. If only the ball was out of the goalies hands!

I emailed back and asked if they had PGMOL contact details - apparently not.

I haven’t totally given up yet and the email address I invented hasn’t come back as undeliverable, so may be at some point I will get some information.

So less than an Hour played?

I hadn’t noticed our blatant time wasting at corners.

Does goal kicks include the gk kicking from his hands, it shouldn’t which means the total is a huge underestimate
Regarding our corner's it's when the ref's happy that everyone's been inspected for not breaking any rules.

That would be the stepped approach
Get on with it player
Next time caution
Next and subsequent times indirect free kick
You would expect at that level no one would then push it

Lad accused of allowing a keeper to waste time on goal kicks when the keeper had to keep jogging miles when the person who was whinging team kept missing their efforts massively.
He said I can only add time I can’t caution him cause you keep hoofing the ball wide of the goal
Didn’t go down well - had me sniggering though

I don’t get why a stepped approach, the rule is clear and unambiguous. Do it once and the keeper will start getting rid of the ball quicker.

Brilliant, and accurate, from your lad!

Cause it’s best to try and manage a game of 11v11 without injury or incident
It’s why people sometimes get away with an early reckless foul it shouldn’t happen though

Mostly I agree with you and at minute 1 and minute 90 you should give the same decision but sometimes at any level of football above say u13 to premier league there are moments when you can support an open game and let things flow and moments when you just can’t so you attempt to manage that balance

Stepped approach is part of that.

Yep-initially it’s best to “manage” the game if that is possible. It can be a bit “jobs worth” to not communicate and just be a programmed robot, but by all means if that “management” approach isn’t working then it’s time to administer disciplinary action.

Isn’t it the very inconsistency that we complain of to not enforce a rule one minute, and then enforce it the next?

Enforcement to the letter of the rules from minute 1 would soon stamp these behaviours out.

Another thing is the amount of shirt pulling that’s now allowed. I don’t know where the line is now.
just seems to be a non-offence any more.
