I’m sure they’ll be pre-announced, but hopefully a sign that something is happening?

Does anyone know why it’s taking so long to put the season tickets on sale? I can’t think of anything unless they’re changing the commercials again or opening up more blocks?

I think the price of seniors students and armed forces is excessive it has gone up over time from 50% to 90%. While thinking 50% was a bit low 90% is on the high side

been a week since the Luton game and still no progress or even clarification when they will be on sale. I know the premier package sold well but we must be the only team in the country who haven’t offered normal season tickets yet to fans. ridiculous to be honest

Dougs telling us all to 'join the journey' though

You would think that the season started tomorrow. It won’t make a blind bit of difference to how many buy season tickets.

you are deluded if you believe that statement. They should have released when the buzz of the city was in full flow as they did with the premier package. we get told season tickets are vital to provide investment the squad, we need money, longer it goes, less money the club get.

I’m not saying the delay is a good thing, it’s not although nowhere near as bad as people are making out.

I’m saying it won’t make any real difference to how many buy them when they do come out.

Yeah but if you want to go, you want to go. It shouldn't matter when they're released (although I do concede that if 90 other clubs have done so, then it does seem strange).

Whilst the city might not be buzzing (sh!t term), those who said they'd want to get a ticket should still want to get a ticket.

For me its more that its a basic necessity of running a football club to be able to release season tickets so you know how much of that income you have for the budget next season no?

It's probably the most basic function of owning a club, have tickets available ASAP to encourage revenue.

The fact that those even in corporate dont know how much its going to be shows something isn't right

if it wasn’t this you’d find something else to whip up into a scandal

I agree with that to be fair.

But regardless of when they're released, if you want to get one, you get one. It does help with budgeting though, you're correct.

anyone with a business sense and know how will tell you, you attract business when the going is good. the premier package proved that. as soon as the 5k target was hit, release the remainder season tickets immediately. I agree the vast majority who want a season ticket will wait but I would say a fair few who would have got season tickets 2 weeks won’t now.

the two issues are getting confused, the delay and what impact it will have.

the delay- not ideal, something is obviously being thrashed out, but it’s not a ‘shambles’ and doesn’t make us ‘tinpot’ and all that silly talk & having tantrums

the impact- will be minimal, people will get one or they won’t and the delay won’t change that too much.

The revenue apparently is only paid when the match happens. It’s pretty obvious they will predict a revenue based of 5,000 sold and last seasons sales

Thats fine, they can predict it. But why predict, when you can actually know just how much is coming in?

You still wouldn’t know if it was released a few days ago as the sales will carry on until the season starts

Happy to take the abuse but all is not rosey behind the scenes 100%.

Lets see where we are July 31st

That’s probably because King is changing the culture to one of maximising revenue instead of just trying to get as many people in as possible, which is hard.

there isn’t a single business around that doesn’t run on projections & plan based on those instead of just ‘waiting to see what happens’ a few months down the line.

Why are so many people kicking off about this?

We’ve literally just lost a playoff final and our opponents haven’t released their ST either. In fact, with PL package we’ve sold more.

Our demand will be roughly the same if the ST went on sale in March or June.

Do they even know where they’re playing next season?
