Hopefully not too far back. I'm a sixteenth Irish and I don't want to have join D O'D shouting up the Ra!I have found it incredibly sad.
If the guy was born in the UK, he's British.
As someone has already said, how far back should we go with this? His parents were British, but his grandparents were immigrants, so there lies the problem?
Very disappointed in reading some of the posts on here on this thread.
I'm 1% Scandinavian.Hopefully not too far back. I'm a sixteenth Irish and I don't want to have join D O'D shouting up the Ra!
Nah, disagree. It shouldn't be shut down.I think this needs closing now. It's way off topic and nobody seems capable of being respectful. Cheap Internet points all round.
Can't everyone now just agree the blokes a c**t and get on the Everton thread instead? I assume we're all going tonight.
White, black, brown, yellow or mixed, we're all Cov on here .... and in line with the arguments I was born, in Cov and so were my parents, so stop picking on me being from Warwick & Leamington!

"Muslims believe in mob rule, Muslims play the victim card, Muslims stir up a lot of issues"
"if a dog is born in a stable..."
Absolutely fine, crack on.
"some people on here clearly don't like brown people"
That's bang out of order, how disgusting, you can't say that.
The crossbow murders was also excluded from the discussion as it was deemed a ‘domestic’ issue.’
If it had been the ‘wrong’ person it would have been used as evidence about attitudes towards women.
Its how they are brought up by their parents and families. If they are brought up at home to be Ghanain they will see themselves as Ghanain. If they are brought up as British, then they will see themselves as British. So if a black national from Ghana lets say, moves to the UK and has a child the child is ghanian not english in your eyes?

His posts been removedYeah it’s the people saying “a dog born in a stable isn’t a horse” who are the sensible centrists here
A bit like Expats who live in their own communities, refuse to learn "the lingo" and only socialise in "authentic" English pubs? This is kind of what I'm trying to get at.
There will be children of immigrants in this country from a particular country that will have fully integrated into life here but then you could have another family from the same country who absolutely refuse to.

@Nick this is all incredibly racist but instead of doing anything about the poster or the posts you're spending your time with people concerned with having to see the racism.View attachment 37169

Jews have the tendency to kick up a fuss and use the religion card
I’ve changed one word ‘Muslim’ in your posts and if you can’t see how incredibly racist all of those are then you’re fucked.
Each one is a banning offence in a reasonable space
It's weird who he picks his fights with.@Nick this is all incredibly racist but instead of doing anything about the poster or the posts you're spending your time with people concerned with having to see the racism.

I asked PVA to show me what he was referencing in terms of who has said anything about "brown" people or "all immigrants". It isn't picking a fight. It's weird who he picks his fights with.
So it's only certain types of prejudice or bigotry you're interested in cleaning up and the rest of it is ok to stay?I just asked in response to a post from PVA about skin colour and "all immigrants" where that had been said?

I've been talking to somebody else about something they have pointed out and it's been sorted, easy as that.
So it's only certain types of prejudice or bigotry you're interested in cleaning up and the rest of it is ok to stay?
I have a feeling it only applies to certain people.
GIMOC repeatedly tarred all Muslims with the same brush. It's blatant racism.
The other poster said even though this guy was born in the UK immigration is still to blame as his parents weren't born here.
I don't know why you have more issue with me and others pointing that out, than you do with the posts in question.
No comments on the GIMOC posts then?I haven't said that, I am genuinely asking why you brought skin colour into it while calling other people racist?
Well if it a racist trope then its my bad and apologise.
But if an English army general serves in Hong Kong, Germany and Cyprus say and has a child in these countries does that make them Chinese, German and Cypriot ,I'd say no
I haven't said that, I am genuinely asking why you brought skin colour into it while calling other people racist?
OK, well how about now respond to my posts on the racism I highlighted yesterday?Where have I said that? I responded to PVA's post because I hadn't seen anybody bring up skin colour in the thread and if it had then to report / screenshot and show me so I can go back through it.
Yeah it's one of the valleys isn't itRwanda does sound Welsh tbf
Because when people are tarring all Muslims with the same brush they clearly aren't referring to white people are they ffs.
Don't fall for it. They're looking for an angle, see.Yeah it's one of the valleys isn't it
This is my point about the 2 different sides, you are adding things like that in to try and stir it up a little more when skin colour wasn't mentioned and just going off about something that wasn't said.
You do realise there are hundreds of thousands of non brown Muslims in the UK?
Christ I give up.
You got me, you win, yep I'm actually the racist one, not the guy tarring all Muslims with the same brush.
What's the point in the list then?of course it’s the number.
last figure seen was 43,000 on the terror watch list in this country. how can we monitor every single one?
Each to their own I guess, but we loved Norway when we were there last week and all said we would love to live there.A lot of circular arguments on here and I'm appalled by some of it and tbh from posters I didn't necessarily expect it from, but anyhow that's where we are.
What I also dont like is why people have a problem with ex-pats abroad gathering in a community. I freely admit I have no culture and I love a holiday in the sun with plenty of food and drink and yes often gravitate towards tourist hotspots full of other Brits. Feels massively snobby to look down on those people and places and to lump them all together is if anything the reverse of the valid points people are trying to make about all of certain communities not being the same. Most ex-pats are generally out there spending money they've earned in the UK and not draining any resources, so if they want to retire to a bit of sea and sun and havent mastered the language, then I dont have an issue with it, yet it's so often used as a whataboutery counter argument.
