The thing is the industry leaders of the German car producers have said they will give us no assistance and it's still not believed. Even if they did want to give us special treatment it only takes 1 vote from somewhere like Lithuania to scupper the whole thing as the whole 27 have to agree on the deal. We are not going to get favourable terms and are going to end up worse of because of this. The longer it goes on the more apparent how much of a mistake it is.
Observer only reporting what they said. Is reporting the truth anti british?
So you are actually happy at being part of of a system where we have to agree a policy with Lithuania.
Incredible.
Don;t forget it was Britain's idea to increase the membership of the EU eastwards. So you are actually happy at being part of of a system where we have to agree a policy with Lithuania.
Incredible.
More like sensitive snowflake little fishes.Odd I didn't see you complaining about those backing remain being branded unpatriotic.
There are a lot of barking mad statements on here.
There is an argument for leaving the EU, but it certainly ain't the one thrown around by the more prolific posters on this thread, unless the argument is that Britannia rules the waves, is Great, and the world should bow down and marvel at her glory!
Calling names then saying someone else is childish. You've done yourself proud.
I think a second referendum on exit terms would heal divides, in my opinion the only people that don't want one would be those scared of losing it.I see a harmless joke is lost on some people. Calling you mr cable is Hardly calling people racists is it? You've out done yourself. Well done.
Can I ask? Do you want a second referendum? (Genuine question)
It's good to see you're capable of taking the mildly abstract, and linking it to statements made by certain prolific posters around here...:yawn:Not seen one poster say Britannia should rule the waves. That's odd. We should be proud of being British and recognize our own importance. People want co operation and joint efforts on global warming and trade but they don't want an eu nation with a flag and an anthem and an army.

If I'd voted leave, I'd be embarrassed by some of the random generalisations and claims being made on this thread.
I think a second referendum on exit terms would heal divides, in my opinion the only people that don't want one would be those scared of losing it.
Thats life. I was just trying engage in debate rather than throw away comments that don't do anything for the thread. I see your point about German car companies but I guess we will see if they put tariffs on their cars. I say they won't. Do you agree?
Also quick question? Did you vote labour in the general election Sickboy?
The problem is, there's just random nonsense spouting from some peoples' mouths, wouldn't you say?If I had voted remain I'd be embarrassed by some of the hypocritical things and unreal things said. Saying you feel the opposite is not really a shock.
But is that a second referendum essentially? I think it is. Also why would we get a good deal if it could be rejected?
I am up for healing divides but I think we do that by including all parties on how we exit like mrs may has indicated today and wants Corbyns input. Rightly so. He wants a harder brexit than May some have said but either way he should be included.
Noises coming for Downing Street all but confirm that we're going to continue paying into the EU. Something that we were told repeatedly by the Eu that we'd have to do.
The problem is, there's just random nonsense spouting from some peoples' mouths, wouldn't you say?
Vacuous, empty, illogical rhetoric that says nothing and means nothing.
Especially the attempt to speak for all leave voters, with a Little England rhetoric poorly disguised as simple economics...
Not all...how some portray all leave voters as racists and little englanders.
I don't know what you're trying to achieve.
If Corbyn has any sense he will decline and let the Tories take the hit on Brexit. Most likely the Tories are looking for Lab to share the blame of the mess they have created.
Yeah you're right, just how some portray all leave voters as racists and little englanders. Poorly disguised also. Again it's empty and just stupid.
I don't know what you're trying to achieve.
To be fair SB, if Corbyn had any sense (or balls) he would have campaigned for the UK to leave the EU out of the door on the left......
....but we are where we are.......which frankly is a massive fucking catastrophic mess.
If someone would have told me how the 12 months after the referendum was going to pan out, I'd have a) not believed them, & b) not engaged with the whole fucking farce.
Problem is, the way the campaign went, it was always going to go this way if there was a leave vote, wasn't it?To be fair SB, if Corbyn had any sense (or balls) he would have campaigned for the UK to leave the EU out of the door on the left......
....but we are where we are.......which frankly is a massive fucking catastrophic mess.

So you agree that Farage's comments about people being uncomfortable hearing foreign languages being spoken on trains was a disgrace?
So you agree that Farage's comments about people being uncomfortable hearing foreign languages being spoken on trains was a disgrace?
Not all...
Many would be embarrassed by the level on this thread at times.
You're right, I forgot the truism to never engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
I think a second referendum on exit terms would heal divides, in my opinion the only people that don't want one would be those scared of losing it.
Well fair comment but how are they meant to win. They are asking labour for a cross party brexit input which is fair and reasonable and asked for by a lot of remainers. She now does that and it's now oh well let her suffer alone and we can all blame her and the tories. Genuinely don't understand that.
If she truly meant it other than to try and deflect the crap onto Labour then the first thing she should do is pull Davis and Fox out of the negotiations and send Starmer in with whoever he wants to support him.
Starmer is opposed to the labour leaders stance on Brexit. British jobs for British workers and all that.
It's hardly surprising you think Fox is competent.
It's hardly surprising you are avoiding the issue that Corbyn and McDonnell are far more akin to the views of Fox and Davis than they do Starmer.
