I wanted our sovereign parliament to do its job. If it made the wrong decision we could at least vote it out. They kicked their responsibility on to a relatively uninformed electorate and now millions are going to suffer in some way. We cannot now reverse the decision.
I shouldn't need to explain to a fellow Labour voter. All I want what is best for the country and for living standards and public services to improve.
Ha ha ha ha!!!!
Legally it can be reversed of course. If there is an obvious lack of support for it across public, I expect all of those lovers or democracy on here will be in full support of democracy being observed.
You regularly scoff and sneer at the working classes, so your response is to be expected.
You are funny.
You want everyone to accept a result where the winner gets a third of the vote but won't accept a result where the majority vote the same.
This is more than Tories v Labour. For once we are all on the same side. We need the best person for the job. End of.I shouldn't need to explain to a fellow Labour voter. All I want what is best for the country and for living standards and public services to improve.
I'm still happy for the Tories to ever own this mess though.
You know what my point is.If you are referring to the CDU, it wasn’t a yes no vote. At the end of the day Merkel will probably be Kanzlerin as Head of a coalition with over 50% of the votes. What’s your point?
Yes, a very revealing interview KoK.
It confirms to anyone who didn’t already realise it, that she is not the person we need as PM to lead us through Brexit. We must have a leader who believes in Brexit and is committed to making it work for the UK. Instead we have a government stuffed with 70% remainers who are reluctantly going through the motions.
Therein lies the problem
That is your view. It isn't a fact.
You know what my point is.
33% of the vote is good enough for you if it is what you want. 52% of the vote isn't good enough for you if it isn't what you want.
So you have lived in Germany for many years yet look for a chance of a cultural split here?Well it starts off with the small things. I and many others have to have 2 passports to ensure our rights. My kid won’t be coming on an exchange visit to Coventry. The English course in the schools may use Ireland and the USA as the main themes instead of life in the UK.. Not exactly suffering, but the beginning of a cultural split.
The coalition will have more than 52%, but as it is Merkel you only count her party votes. BTW the pro EU parties got nearly 90%, but you talk about a 12,5% sceptical, but not totally 100% anti EU and mainly a protest vote as if were a huge victory. Grendel thinks that over 2 million people have become Nazis overnight. Amazing how one ignores real democracy.
It is - we don't live in zimbawabwe where the wrong result comes in and you are forced terrified to go back in until you get the "right" answer
Actually why say Zimbawbwe - let's just look at EU countries whose free will was punched out of them from the grotesque EU machine until they "got it right"
Thank God we are made of sterner stuff.
So you have lived in Germany for many years yet look for a chance of a cultural split here?
Yes a coalition. 5 parties to make a majority. Because the 2nd biggest won't join Merkel again and the next one is fascist/racist. Yet you moan like fuck about a 52% majority vote in a country you don't want to live in.
Massive problem and that's the truth to this sham so far. It was confirmed last night that TM doesn't believe in brexit, now that's all well and good but when she is leader of brexit negotiations and Pm of this country going through the biggest historical change for decades then it's absolutely shocking.
She wants to give the EU as much as possible and suck up beyond reasonable acceptance. I said this on June 24th last year we need a brexit PM and someone who genuinely believes brexit is the right decision. Right now we have a manager who at the start of the season thinks we will be relegated. It doesn't work. May as well have Mart in charge of brexit.
May will be gone by Christmas. I have little doubt now.
How many EU countries are ruled by a grotesque right wing dictator? Oh yes, I forgot Hungary.
Until now Britain was looked upon in a favourable light. Even exchange trips to Coventry were looked upon as positive. Now Britain is no longer an EU partner ( from 2019 ) and it will looked at differently. Or do you expect us to increase cultural activities and friendship contacts because of Brexit?
Yes a coalition. Germany has been ruled by coalitions for years. It is the normal situation. The Jamaica coalition will be a novum though and having an opposition party in the Bundestag with known racists, nazis in it, is unusual even for people in my age group. But, over 2 million of their voters were protesting the 2015 handling of the refugee crisis. If that becomes less of an issue because the major parties introduce some form of repatriation of people who are not classed as genuine asylum seekers, then they will fade away again. The right wing hard core is and was around 5% - without the protest votes.
Don't Germans ever visit Switzerland as they are not in the eu? Wow.
No Germans then on boat trips around Norway? That's good I might book one then.
No I'm referring to Brussells
Name the right wing dictator and explain his powers.
Yes of course but I'd much rather have Labour negotiating on behalf of the country.
I shouldn't need to explain to a fellow Labour voter. All I want what is best for the country and for living standards and public services to improve.
I'm still happy for the Tories to ever own this mess though.
Seems to me you want the country to be bankrupted because that is what will happen if the neo-Maxist Labour party gets in.
I never thought about that.Do they get subsidies for school trips to Switzerland or Norway from the EU? I was talking about school trips. My daughter is off to Spain and is happy as larry.
I can name an EU dictator who is full of his self importance.Name the right wing dictator and explain his powers.
I never thought about that.
We should stay in the EU because some German schools get subsidies for some school trips.
So there is one place savings can be made.
I can name an EU dictator who is full of his self importance.
Can't see it myself. Most people are not thick. They can see what the EU are up to.If May stays and this continues labour will win the next GE.
The EU doesn't care about the youth. Their policies has killed youth employment in many countries. That is why they have to leave their families and move to another country. The Euro is killing economies of many countries just to benefit Germany. But Juncker still pushes the Euro onto new joiners knowing what it will do to them. Because once their economy goes tits up they are reliant on the EU.There are lots of places where savings can be made. The negotiations for the next EU budget begin in 2018. There will have to be considerable savings. Good, the EU will become more efficient. One thing they shouldn’t skimp on is bringing Europe together starting with the youth. I‘m a member of a pro British lobby group and we have committed to pushing Deutsch Britisch Friendship despite Brexit.
There you goHmmm..... let me guess.....
Brussels is a federal organisation. That's why socialists such as Corbyn, Benn etc have always despised it. It's by definition a centralist right wing organisation
It has decision making powers which the electorates in individual countries have no influence on whatsoever. junker is a prime example. A revolting little man whose not been approved of by a single uk resident and he makes laws which influence the uk
That makes him undemocratic and is the reason I want out.
Can't see it myself. Most people are not thick. They can see what the EU are up to.
Not even sure about the younger voters. Labour bought their votes. But after the election they could see that what they were promised wouldn't have happened.
I can see May serving her purpose and then going. If Corbyn is still in charge of Labour the Tories will get back in. He has no charisma. He looks like the dirty old man who stares at the young ladies. Labour has much better than him. Find another Bliar and we have a chance. Another Brown and you can forget it.

There you go
It is so obvious. You don't have to use his name and everyone knows who you mean.
Most Countries take lots of money out of the EU. Germany does very well out of the EU. What chance did we ever have of getting what was best for us?The representatives of the UK electorates were of one of the 2 countries that voted against Juncker. 26 countries voted for Juncker. It’s democracy... get over it.
No chance she'll be PM by then, but I think she will be there till approx Summer 2019 (after 2 year article 50 period), then there will be a Tory leadership challenge. If May stays and this continues labour will win the next GE.
