When a steak bake is piping hot and it burns a big blister in the top of your mouth.
and once you've had a bit you have to keep eating it otherwise the filling starts to fall out

Seriously hot if it melts the fillings in your teeth!and once you've had a bit you have to keep eating it otherwise the filling starts to fall out

Related to that, the noise people make when they eat something too hot. Worst misophonia trigger of them all
I saw you can get earplugs that apparently helps now. Filters those noises out.
100k a year now? That’s pretty much it, although I have doubled my salary in 5 years
100k a year now?
So what was your wage that got doubled?I don’t think even my Head gets that
So what was your wage that got doubled?
Probably initial starting salary that was shit to begin with.So what was your wage that got doubled?
Congratulations£22k up to £44k
Congratulations
So are you ready to go on strike for a living wage?

I fully agree with you....then you admit your payrise was 100% over 5 years in the years of low inflation and you want us to back you up for a lot more when the man on the street gets much less. You knew what you would earn but a 100% raise was simply not enough after taking the position. We’re striking so education can get the proper funding it deserves. I for one think children deserve better than to be taught in classes of 35 in rooms built for 30. Do you?
I agree. But what would they be happy with after a 100% payrise after just 5 years.Let's be honest, teachers, people that work in healthcare, the emergency services etc - they don't get paid enough. They're core elements that keep a country ticking. It's a wider problem.
According to figures today salaries are increasing at 7.7%I fully agree with you....then you admit your payrise was 100% over 5 years in the years of low inflation and you want us to back you up for a lot more when the man on the street gets much less. So please tell me why 100% payrise wasn't good enough in 5 years of low inflation years and what do you think would be acceptable now.

It’s not a pay rise is it though really? Merely a recognition of experience and then additional responsibility that he has to work for.I agree. But what would they be happy with after a 100% payrise after just 5 years.
100% over 5 years is how much?According to figures today salaries are increasing at 7.7%
So a 100% payrise over 5 years isn't good enough as over the last 10 years of low inflation it is 20% a year but still below below the last 13 years?I got a 100% rise after having been promoted quickly and taken on additional responsibilities. The profession as a whole has seen a real terms pay drop in the region of 20% since 2010.
As it is I am still actively trying to leave because the conditions even with the money aren’t worth it. Wife in a similar position.

Current UPS3 is £43K and would take a new teacher a minimum of 11 years to reach it assuming no additional TLR responsibility.
Is it really though?
You take on a job. You know the payrate. Yet even though you get a payrise of 100% after just 5 years it just isn't good enough.
Yes the pay rate should be more. But I'm sorry as a 100% payrise in just 5 years isn't good enough for some. How about having
a massive tax increase for those of us that hardly get a pay Increase so those who got 100% in the last 5 years of low inflation and we need to come out in sympathy with them.
Brighton earned promotions and the pay that came with it.How about having
a massive tax increase for those of us that hardly get a pay Increase
It's not about other people's salary though, it's about whether the pay rises (and his pay rises would be because of incremental progression in post and / or promotion rather than a fair pay deal) are fair and inline with what should be offered.I fully agree with you....then you admit your payrise was 100% over 5 years in the years of low inflation and you want us to back you up for a lot more when the man on the street gets much less. /googles before agreeing!Sorry mate, but it looks like you are exercising some crab bucket syndrome here.
I retire in exactly 4 weeks. That will stop meBrighton earned promotions and the pay that came with it.
What's stopping you doing the same?
I retire in exactly 4 weeks. That will stop me
And as I have always said everyone should do what is best for them. But 100% payrise after just 5 years in times of low inflation and complaining that the payrise wasn't enough is a bit too much. It's not about other people's salary though, it's about whether the pay rises (and his pay rises would be because of incremental progression in post and / or promotion rather than a fair pay deal) are fair and inline with what should be offered.
The payrise can not be enough. It isn't a pay rise he's had, more a rise in pay.But 100% payrise after just 5 years in times of low inflation and complaining that the payrise wasn't enough is a bit too much.
I'm chilled. Just had enough of those who are not happy with a 100% raise in 5 years but say they are not paid enough and don't care where all this money is coming from. Then poor yourself a glass and chill the fuck out
A pay rise is a rise in pay. But on here the truth is not the truthThe payrise can not be enough. It isn't a pay rise he's had, more a rise in pay.
And he's not striking just for him, is he?
I'm chilled. Just had enough of those who are not happy with a 100% raise in 5 years but say they are not paid enough and don't care where all this money is coming from.
You accept a job. Then moan like fuck your wages have only gone up by 100% in 5 years.
How much has yours gone up in the last 5 years?
A lot of them just call themselves SEO Content Creators now and just pinch other people’s content and then come higher because they’re writing for a tabloid.Again though, there's a difference between Journalism and Content Creation surely?
Is it really though?
