Hope this doesn't turn into a repeat of the Maddison scenario, plays a handful of games and is signed by a bigger club.
Well it’s not long now till the new Reg”s are out, so no doubt the money will be used for a new Jag for the Sisu employees to drive to court in.If we got a decent fee for him robins would sell. Same with Ponticelli and the other kids. If robins doesn't get us up he gets the sack. He doesn't give a shit about building a squad for years to come. If he was to be sold I would be fine with it as long as the money is used well
Not sure how accurate this is but Spurs are definitely aware of him & have been to see him play in the youth sides
Isn't every feed we get from bollocks? That feed is bollocks, but hey ho if that's where your get your news from
Football makes us all cynical but I do feel Robins' heart is in the right placeIf we got a decent fee for him robins would sell. Same with Ponticelli and the other kids. I believe Bayliss has same agent as the Duke. Rio Ferdinand's company
Hopefully they will have the good sense to realise the lad is in the right place playing men's football in a team pushing for promotion
Someone else said he only has 6 months left on his contract. I'll be surprised if the club hasn't been in talks to extend it
An under 16 player with an agent as far down as this? Jeez!Yep. Base Soccer Agency. Stevenson, U18 player Billy Stedman and I believe one of our U16 players are too. They have the majority of top young players signed up
Ex players Maddison, Harries and Thomas aswell
Base Soccer Agency Ltd - Player agency - Player agents

Very true STPYeah, they’re targeting younger players now as soon as they can. I have heard of a player at U13 level at another club being signed, unofficially of course. Our U16 team is a talented one - one of them went to Man United recently and 2 others have been playing up with the 18s and are just as good. The top clubs are aware
Did the lad who went to UTD have the same agent too?Yeah, they’re targeting younger players now as soon as they can. Funny that, because in May Mark Robins said the following: “we are building a club, not just a team – for now and for the future”. We signed all our young players to new contracts and we’ve signed a lot of players this season - up to about 14-16 now (if we’re counting Pearson). As well as this, we’ve been bringing plenty of young players through the ranks. Not because it’s a necessity (like last season), but because they’re genuinely good enough to play a part in senior team.
It’s football at the end of the day, every player has a price and if someone came in with a suitable offer, you can’t blame the club for selling up. We still have to try and break even/turn a profit. A lot of people seem to forget this.
Maycock actually played for the first team several times last seasonMaycock has been in and around first team a month or two before Bayliss has.
Maycock seen a few times, came on for Liam Kelly vs Stevenage. Was awfull. Ran around like a headless chicken without even touching the ball. Not really stood out apart from looking out of his depth. But obviously must have something about him if his contract was extended.
Slightly unfair to judge him on that 45 minutes.
Bayliss should get a four year contract in next few weeks.
Wow! Like a yts plumber in the first year of his apprenticeship going to his employer with his agent.Yeah, they’re targeting younger players now as soon as they can. I wasn't blaming the club, I would probably sell too. I think we've heard enough from mark before to not believe everything he says to the media. If we get a bid for a youngster that would help robins strengthen elsewhere he would sell. I don't know why you're bringing up the profit stuff as I didn't mention that, same for the amount of players we have signed? I'm happy with all of that

Hopefully till the next of the season!Bayliss has had a much bigger impact than Ponticelli. Robins is right...Tom will play at the highest level. He has so much confidence for a young lad. Enjoy him while he is here till the end of the season.
I heard that we wanted £1.5m but Brentford offered £500 then £750k.If he gets sold, he gets sold. That's not SISU cashing in, that's a football club running it's business like it should do...just like the rest of the 91 clubs. If an offer comes in that means you can continue to run your club (more L1/L2 level), then it has to be accepted...that's the way of the world and is certainly not exclusive to CCFC.
My only disappointment is that we don't hold onto players a little longer before selling them for decent profits. Had we told Norwich to come back at the end of the season for Maddison, how better might it have been had he not signed for them in Jan. I know he came back on loan but that's not the same.
Thinking about my point above, we held onto Stevenson last Jan despite a £1.5m bid from Brentford and he doesn't seem to have progressed. I guess it therefore depends on the player. By the sounds of things, Bayliss is a great talent. Hopefully we keep him until at least the end of the season (which I fully expect us to) and then we'd have Andreu to come back. Not the worst replacement for an attacking midfielder if Bayliss did then go.

They wanted the lad but wouldn't meet our valuation
Ben was doing well at the time so probably encouraging for this window

Ok then , it's a business, then give Bayliss a 5 year contract witch will increase he's value ,
and then if the club needs the money to run it's business then sell to the highest bidder and not the first offer .
There are indeed. My influences were the Beatles, the Marx Brothers and Bugs Bunny.Things ain't as clear cut as that tho are they, many different factors and influences

We are producing very good technical players now. From late Prem days to 2006 our recruitment was based on physically strong players. We did well in the leagues during that time but when it came to first team transition we struggled. Had a few make the first team in that time like Thornton, McSheffrey, Kirkland and Davenport however we are producing a different type of player now.
Rioch and Stevens then took over in 2007 and since then the quality has improved with the best yet to come in my opinion.
I here what you say , but GOOD Negotiators , ie the club, can put a clause into his new contract saying any club that offers ex amount of millions the club will not stand in his way if the player wants to leave the club .
Of course the amount of millions is open to negotiation !
