I don’t think during the Burnley saga O’Hare ever speculated he wanted away all the talk came from the Burnley end and their gobby manager Vince Kompany COH spent much of the summer at various festivals & venues often going on stage yahooing with his mate Tom Grennan.
Remember at that time there was no Doug King, he ain’t been here a year yet just those two arseholes Sappala & toxic Tim Fisher trying to cash in on him.
I think we needed to sell one player that summer (SISU were still here ).. We ended up selling Hyam once O'Hare got injured. As I recall Hamer was way out of form early on that season, picking up 2 red cards before October. My bet was, a move broke down for him in the summer. He got his head together by November though. I have no doubt O'Hare would of gone to Burnley had he not got injured, but probably didn't want too (It wasn't exactly a dream move) Hyam certainly didn't want to leave.

Ayari's situation is commonplace. How many times over the last few years have we fallen foul of it (thinking JWE last season) ? Brighton have the ability to leave him out and just play him in the occassional cup game or reserve fixtures until they see progression. But we don't. We've seen him in these games and have jumped the gun. Personally, he doesn't look ready for the Championship. Its tough, fast and aggressive. Three things I would not link with Ayari's play. Every time he's been brought on, he's looked scared. No doubt he has skill in training or messing with the rest of the squad. But that's completely different to full games.

Unless Brighton are happy for him to play a bit part and we're happy to sacrifice a bench seat, I'd say that he needs to go to a club that will fit his ability and strength. I'd say League 1 as a step up for him with the Champ in a few years.

And just a reminder..... Jan Transfer Window opens on Jan 1st, in 12 days time.

Start writing your Santa wish letters for potential players. He does read them as Santa is a Sky Blue

If you're going to attempt to challenge my opinion, try using discussion points or facts rather than infantile digs. What did I say that offends you so much ?

Its just a joke about the Santa image.

Why is everyone so testy right now? It’s almost Christmas!

Oh. Sorry Dreamer.

And practically every comment on here currently gets a childish or negative retort. So I post comments, expecting the worst type of reply.

Fuck all mate. Since Haji Wright they've tightened right up on leaks

I think it will be a case of when the rumours start being able to confirm them or say its bullshit
Fair enough.

Let’s see what the BBC CWR team ask pre / post match tomorrow.

We know Robins wont give much away unless he wants too but typically he’s happy to say how many players we want, whether they are lined up to go or not and whether they will be loans or signings.

At this time of year managers know they will be asked and there reply is normally a message for the fans or to the board !

Waste of breathe he won’t say anything, he doubt he’ll even admit to wanting to sign anyone.

If Gyokeres moves on from sporting at his release clause, it'll give us another 10 mill into the club. Would love to see a couple of big signings. O'Hare potentially leaving on a free, so that's one position and CM.

That Szymanski is looking really good lately, but a complete non runner unless we make the prem and even then, he would have better suiters.

The O’Hare scenario is in all probability as simple as 95% of all football transactions. If our offer is the highest pay he signs. If someone else offers more he goes there. There’s lots of nonsense about other stuff but it normally is as basic as that.

In an ideal world, we could look at rolling over contracts in the same way as buying a new player. We would pay £5m for Cal, so why not pay that in salary to keep him?

I think the answer lies in jealousy and the unrest it would cause with other players. Squad unrest would be worse than losing him and hence we are hamstrung.

A possible compromise would be a hefty signing on fee. But that would encourage every player to refuse to sign a rollover without a one-off payment of their transfer value. It would be the end of contract extensions mid-term.

Bosman has created peripatetic footballers. And I'm not sure clubs can do much to stop it.

I just think the club is a very different animal now, they are really going about the business the right way. I imagine lots has been done already regards to players with very few people will be involved. I don't see more than 2 in and maybe 3 out or sent back.

Get 3 points tomorrow and follow it up boxing day i wont really care. My opinion is Robins knows exactly what he needs and wants. Doug is doing his job and the club feels like its in better hands than in the past, so i trust and like what i have heard and seen so far its a process.

Saving him for Boxing Day……surely…….

They look a better unit against Villa without him - he’s just not disciplined enough to be a premier league player regarding his fitness levels and lifestyle

I think that and the possibility of saying you're a Premier League footballer, regardless of whether it's for a shit team, has a lot of sway. Cal's 25 now so if the chance comes up to play in the PL, and with that increase his wages, he's obviously going to take it and I can't say I blame him. Gus did the same. It's a short career and they're going to try and make the most of it.

Genuinely think that Cal would only move for more football. He doesn't seem to be the one to willingly move to just sit on a bench for a larger pay cheque. So a lower Prem club or one of those who are almost promoted from the Champ. Otherwise, if we pay him a respectable wage, I think he would stay. But we can't afford to break the club's wage structure for one player as that will cause infighting later on.
