I'll tell you why, there are still individuals who in my opinion see the Trust as a vehicle to get onto the board or something and suck up in their own way to the one who could make that happen which is a bloody shame because there are others who do and try to do splendid work in their own time too.
In my opinion this meeting shouldn't happen as respect to our suffering fans and football club

It's only a couple of quid to join the trust, so it's open to anybody really. What I don't like is this trust members and "invited" guests only thing. Why ? and who qualifies as an invited guest ? Should be a fully open forum yes with a ticket and in a venue large enough to suit, the Albany is rather small. Plenty of larger venues it could be held in.
Funny isn't it. Some of us have a go at the trust for being too shouty shouty on occasion, some feel that they suck up to our owners.I know them all and don't know one of them who would suck up as you put it.

Not entirely sure who (bar RFC!) has ever sucked up to our owners mind you!
(Although there was a very strange chap at Northampton who was keen to shake Fisher's hand and look positively delighted to have the chance to praise him - perhaps that was RFC!)
Why don't we all stand up and boo when he turns up on stage ?Really can't see how it is sucking up to them by letting him speak and be quizzed by fans though.
Some people just prefer the shouty action.
Why don't we all stand up and boo when he turns up on stage ?
Unless he's running the club in the way he is, on the instruction of the people behind a takeover, why on earth would anyone intent on taking over a football club have fisher involved? He's proved himself utterly incapable.
What would they gain from it?Unless he's running the club in the way he is, on the instruction of the people behind a takeover,
I've said before it's a bit far fetched to believe anyone could run a club this badly by accident.
Personally I believe the ultimate aim is liquidation, and has been for a long time, when it eventually
Happens we will be so insignificant it will hardly raise an eyebrow.
I have no idea. What would they gain from it?
Of course allow Fisher to speak and answer questions my criticism is this should be an open meeting advertised in the local media, at a suitable sized venue as the three pre Northampton meetings at the Holiday Inn were. The Trust get a lot of unfair criticism plenty on here in the past about being insular etc., something I've never done, I fully respect any who give up their free time for the cause but in my opinion this members only meeting with "invited" guests in is wrong.
Just who qualifies as an invited guest and why ? now if the invited guests included Damien Collins MP, TalkSports Jim White or the Daily Mails Henry Winter great, all very critical about the stewardship of our football club then I'm all for it.We need our supporters to be galvanised now more than ever this isn't the way.
It does say Nick attendance is by ticket to Trust members and invited guests and as last time you can send questions by twitttet, again computer literate based, unfair imo.
But to answer your theory if you turn up on the night, join and get in that can be answered on here today.

Yes I changed that to the Daily Telegraph, linking anyone to the Daily Mail is real low blow.I don't think Henry Winter would be very pleased to be described as a Daily Mail journalist!! Seriously though, would be great to get some one like him or David Conn there.
Think you miss my point Nick, I can go but believe in what's probably the old fashioned way advertise in the local media, apply for tickets, at a suitable venue been done before and meet.

Yes....don't forget his 3 year plan to get us in the championship and to develop an academy that is the cornerstone of our club. Someone ought to ask him what he has to say about those remarks. An utter failure. Next he'll say he wants promotion back to league 1 straight away. You're right we need Shane O'Connor to return and pick on the questions and answers Fisher gave at the time him about the reasons for the move to Sixfields and the future of the Club
Why it's a Trust meeting with Fisher. I've already had two people who arw not members asking me to get them some I told them to join the trust, they both refused saying no way would they join those wankers. My response was but you want to go to a meeting arranged by those wankers suggested they were the wankers.Of course allow Fisher to speak and answer questions my criticism is this should be an open meeting advertised in the local media, at a suitable sized venue as the three pre Northampton meetings at the Holiday Inn were. Another thing who pays for this yes the trust

So are the "invited" guests members then ? no obviously. But you illustrate a point with your two mates saying I wouldn't give money to those wankers a wrong discription by your mates, but an opinion not uncommon amongst a lot of fans mainly through ignorance and perhaps reading shite on here about the Trust. Why it's a Trust meeting with Fisher. I would love to be there but distance and expense stops me

You're right we need Shane O'Connor to return and pick on the questions and answers Fisher gave at the time him about the reasons for the move to Sixfields and the future of the Club
you can watch it online live
Are questions to be vetted beforehand ?
Godiva, I think those questions ought to be circulated to trust members, so they can ask one each.
Either way, if Fisher had any honour, he would resign NOW
That was what the SCG was for & look what happened there when they didn't behave like lapdogs.Or the Trust's role should be to help facilitate dialogue between fans and club.
You may not like or believe what Fisher has to say, but to deny him the right to speak would be ridiculous.
I would think the term "invited guests" was used as a way to limit numbers nothing more. The last thing needed is an angry mob where nothing gets heard answered or challenged - restricted numbers has nothing to do with being elite-ist. On a similar vein the last thing the Trust needs is a meeting that gets out of hand when they trying to encourage fans ownership. Smaller numbers are easier to control pure and simple
It isn't just about hearing what Fisher says it is also about hearing what fans & Trust have to say. A meeting that gets out of hand or just becomes emotional shouting is not what is needed
