The general view on here seems to be that Putin can be shoved back into Russia with his tail between his legs and he will just look a bit embarrassed and it will never be talked about again.
I don't think that at all. He's not the type to go quietly. So if he won't he'll have to go kicking and screaming. He's too dangerous just to be left to 'crack on'.

So we have to make it to the point where even the Russians can't ignore how bad he's made it for them. The problem with setting yourself up as the undisputed leader is that there's no-one else for the people to blame when it goes to shit. And it always does. Eventually the people stop believing the bullshit you spout and when they do who's their anger going to be aimed at.

Ultimately Putin will have to die. We just need to keep the pressure on until the Russians themselves remove him. As such as Russian expert as yourself will know, they've got form for it. We (the west) can't do it as the ingrained distrust and dislike of the west in Russia will just get worse.

But trying to placate him and copncede things to him because he's a bully and a psycho is pure madness.

Wagner head Prigozhin made a public outcry for help. The Kremlin seems to try to limit his power by drastically reducing Wagner's ammunition supply.

Seems to be they that they weren't receiving limited supplies as a special measure, but were actually receiving the same as everyone else!

Also Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin is publicly slating Shoigu and other top military figures, blaming them for lack of supplies alongside a picture he posted of what must be 50 dead Wagner soldiers.
51 by now I'd have thought.

So why don’t we just roll into Moscow David?
Obviously you know it's not quite that simple.

Besides which we understand that were we able to do so it would just increase anti-west sentiment in the country and pave the way for the next madman.

Who is the most unpopular leader Russia have had according to polls in the last 100 years?

No one thinks Mr Putin is a good guy. I don’t think Mr Churchill and Mr Truman thought uncle Joe was actually a very enlightened liberal thinker but in the end you choose your enemies wisely

You seem to think he’s better than Zelensky-or at least warranting less criticism. Not that you really believe it of course.

Failing to help in this case is not neutrality

You can just imagine Grenners at school when a friend of his was being beaten up by a bully and pleading for help.

"Well, as it's not my face being smashed to a pulp and dinner money being stolen frankly I'm not bothered. If anyone tries to stop him he's threatened to stab you and anyone helping you, which doesn't sound at all crazy so I guess it only makes sense to let him carry on. And anyway, if you give him your lunch money now he definitely won't see you as weak and try and take it again tomorrow."

And before anyone says it, I know it's a poor analogy. Like Grendel had friends at school!

My honest views on this war are what they are. I’m not sure Stalin was actually better than Hitler - I don’t think it’s a pissing contest really

To be fair your analogy fell down when you implied Grenners went to school.

It’s just you focus more on Zelensky’s clothing than Putin’s war crimes. I mean really ‘let Putin crack on with it’ sums it up
