What they need most is a frank and honest team meeting.Rewarding them with a couple of days off after that shambles i disagree with
Id have had them in doing laps if the pitch, watching video analysis of their shit performance and laying into them personally

I thought the same when the window was still open but everyone kept saying how we’ve got loads of players who can cover there. Issue is they can cover here and there but not for a prolonged period as it’s not their specialist position.I think one of the other disturbing things is the lack of a second right back.
5m on Kitching when we didn’t need another CB. We needed a CM and a right back
Absolutely. What really concerned me before we'd seen anyone play was that we kept reading about big clubs abroad (in particular) pulling out of going for players based on us blowing them out the water with transfer fees (Sakamoto/MVE/Wright/Simms maybe? had mentions of this). It seems that word got around that we were prepared to pay big and we got taken to the cleaners on fees. The Kitching one was the prime example, I was fucking furious how we caved in over that. You have to be prepared to walk away or you'll have no bargaining power in the future! Seems we chose to learn this lesson by Hamer's replacement. In Gyokeres and Hamer you had two £1m signings turned into elite players for this level over several seasons. I don’t really understand why we deviated from that just because there was an 8 figure sum in our account
Hate to be a broken record on him but when Hamer left Santiago Hezze had a bid in for him from Olympiakos for about half of what we might pay for Kitching. Very Hamer-esque player, early 20s and wouldn’t ask for much in wages.Absolutely. About once a game he does a lovely bit of link up work with his back to goal that, purely in terms of the way he moves, really reminds me of Regis!Am I the only one that goals aside thinks Simms looks the best of the three football talent wise. It’s a low bar mind.
Maybe if they had not wasted that 2 week break and instead they had focused on working on patterns of play and on field partnerships we may not have performed so horribly last night.Rewarding them with a couple of days off after that shambles i disagree with

It’s not the new players I’m pissed off with. It’s the likes of Palmer swanning about offering fuck allIt's been indifferent , but not entirely unexpected , many of us before last night have talked about us starting slowly , needing time to get it right with a whole host of new starters ..
Last night was poor , yes
Palmer, Wilson, Fadz were all poor. It’s not the new players I’m pissed off with. It’s the likes of Palmer swanning about offering fuck all
Tempo's quicker there!I think I have some live footage, though they are a bit further advanced than our lads.

For Oli Tanner, Just 40k? Nope, we're shopping at sodding Harrods now!Come to think of it we could have nicked that George Tanner for a nominal fee instead of Cardiff and had him as the 4th striker
Here
Obviously different level of player but Haaland is mostly anonymous for Man City, however he puts the ball in the net. I don’t give a fuck about how many touches outside the box he has as long as he sticks the ball in the net. Which he’s doing most games currentlyPalmer, Wilson, Fadz were all poor.
Godden was anonymous but you can’t ignore his goal contribution.
This fella is:And that's why you are not a Championship manager
We know they tried to sign midfielders. Swift was one. The worry for me is that if they had landed Swift he is still not the type of mix to box midfielder we are missing ….. he’s another 10, not an 8.Lots of people disappointed quite rightly by the exit of Gus and “why didn’t we replace him?” in the recent window etc. How do we know that there weren’t irons in the fire that didn’t get over the line?
It's always been a problem with Wilson, his anticipation is dreadful. He's improved but needs replacing. Here
Give it a rest you clown. The worst performer last night didn't have 2 weeks off. It's irrelevant.Maybe if they had not wasted that 2 week break and instead they had focused on working on patterns of play and on field partnerships we may not have performed so horribly last night.
I too would not give them the next 2 days off.
Problem is playing two very defensive minded DCM's with an AM who's just showboating and fancy flicks. We'd get away with having Kelly and Eccles if we still had Hamer, or a player who could carry the ball and use it effectively in the oppositions half.
We need Sheaf and O'Hare back ASAP and even then O'Hare is surely going to need time to get up to speed.
Until then we can't afford any more injuries and we need Robins to work some magic.
I've defended Palmer but he's was shocking last night, contributed nothing.
Watford will push that assessment to the limit. No manager gets sacked for losing 2 matches , that's a fact isn't it
Let's curb the dramatics

Maybe Ayari can provide a better link until O'hare is back, but even then I think he'll need a very slow and gradual reintroduction. Allen when fit will put in the yards but not that creative for others.
I think we should consider going back to the box, though then we've got the problem of the lone striker. It seems to negate Godden's effectiveness and we don't want to mess with him while he's on a hot streak.
I reckon we go 4 at the back and shove Lati into Kelly’s place, add in the extra midfielder and start playing with wingers, I think anything’s worth a go at this rateThe box won’t solve the problem of Eccles and Kelly (never play the forwards waaaaay).
At best jumps on the spot really should have done more. If MR wants to change No1's Monday might be the game he does itThe more times I watch that 3rd Cardiff goal the more I’m convinced that Wilson actually moves away from the ball, it’s almost like he flinches rather than tries to save it
They have both been shit. Sick of people sugar coating how utterly ineffective they’ve been so far. Neither look anywhere near the value that we have forked out. GarbageEveryone slating wright and simms should be looking at the other end of the pitch, we’ve scored one less goal than Preston who are top, we’re conceding soft goals, so,long as godden keeps scoring it gives wright/simms a bit more time to settle in, stick with them
There’s definitely people massively overreacting, as always, but I also think it’s perfectly fine to say you’re disappointed with how a (expensive) signing has started after 7 games and hope he can improve.New team, new formation, new style of play, injuries to key players… and absolutely zero patience after 7 league games.
It’s a bit fuckingmental tbh
He 100% should be next game, it was pathetic. If he did that playing for a Sunday league team, he'd be dropped.
Looked like Wilson lost his bearings when he retreats, thinking he's narrowed the angle, but is actually too far across and giving most of the goal to aim at. So then badly placed for a shot into the far corner. Because he came out and then back he's also not set when the forward shoots hence no real attempt to save. It’s the sort of half arsed foot out save you do when the whistle has gone and the striker whacks it at you anyway.
If we play the box and the extra midfielder then it's less of an issue IMO.The box won’t solve the problem of Eccles and Kelly in the middle (never play the forwards waaaaay).
