*5

if you listen to Rob Gurney who covered West Brom whilst BTA was there, he is very surprised at how little impact he has had here so far.
im still hoping he’ll prove to buy a very good buy unlike some of the others.

Think you've got to give people time.
Though it's difficult when they've screwed up a game winning chance twice in 4 days.

The biggest thing about Lampard's start is the fixture list.

You could not have picked a better first 10 games or so for a new manager.

12 points from 9 would be encouraging after a trickier set of fixtures.

12 points from 9 is quite worrying when over half of your games have been against the bottom 4.

We’ve spent all season confirming we have a terrible defence and a very limited midfield. We’ve now bolted on an injury to our best forward and another who was just finding form. Why did some expect Lampard to be able to improve things markedly? It will take time, playing personnel changes and 2-3 windows worth of patience.

February will be a good period to judge.

lampard will have (hopefully) got some of his own players in.

we have 3 teams currently in the top half and 2 in the bottom half.

if we can get 8 points or more from that 5 I’ll be impressed

No way he gets 3 windows if things don't improve.
Doesn't need to make us world beaters but needs to be much better than so far. If he can't do that by Autumn next year he won't get January 26.
I keep saying it, but if the coaches we have now are as good as we've been told then they should be able to get these players playing to somewhere near the level they were at last winter.

That shouldn't take over a year and 3 windows.

People are acting like we’ve got magic money tree. We’re skint. We’re going to have to sell up and rebuild if you don’t want a manager who gets more than the sum of its parts and unless we find a recruitment head who can actually do the job what gives you confidence that will happen?

Why even have a manager if you don’t expect him to improve the players? Just sign players and send them out.

The worst thing is the players want to put performances in like that more often

i give up

Was the performance different,of course it was,the result may have been the same and the manner of them getting the win, I think I'd have broken the play up with substitutions, about the only thing we could have changed at that point.

I'll have £100 on it? Mine can go to Samaritans, where do you want yours if you win?

Another poster who is fucking desperate since robins went (even though he wanted it) .

Going on about people looking silly, calls for robins to go and then spends weeks crying about it.
I'll take this bet too. Tell him for me he has me on mute because he couldn't debate with me

I’ve said all along, I was impressed with how Lampard spoke at the start but have yet to see much improvement.

if rumours are true about Holding it suggests we should improve, I doubt Holding would be interested with Robins in charge

It's a bit crazy not to at least see what the geezer does with the likes of Wright fit and hopefully a couple of bits of business in Jan before passing too much judgement imo.
I'm hoping he's seen what most see with the likes of Dasilva and Lati and we don't see them too much again. Lampard out banner at the ready if those shite bags stick around.

In any other situation, a manager would actually be given a chance to bring in his own players before being written off before 10 games.

Look at what these shitty players have done to us as fans. Bickering all over the shop because they can’t do the basics and conspire to lose a game they were winning in stoppage time.

Will be a lot happier when the worst offenders are gone.
A big part of Lampards job mate. Weed them out.

Wrights agent is out in the press saying he’s ready to leave and drumming up business.

Not sure what you want me to do with that info. We'd be mad to sell him in January.

Just saying I’m not sure hanging out hopes on a player who doesn’t want to be here is that wise.

Part of the reason King gave was concern about losing our best players and from what we can tell Sheaf Wright and MvE all want out.

Yep. I think he's more likely to leave in the summer to be one of the promoted sides. If we double our investment, it'd been a good bit of business.
He’s earnt the move unlike nearly all his colleagues. If I were a buying club though I’d want to see how he returns from injury.

I agree, if he goes it'll be the summer and we'll at least double our money imo. We don't have to let him go anywhere, he's on a long contract but they'll have to weigh up whether the manager would prefer the funds.

I feel the next 4 matches are important for the Lampard tenure. Difficult but winnable matches, will be a good test to see if we've actually made any progress or are going backwards.
