I agree a backup ST is important. If Haji is on the left and Simms needs a rest, someone adding goals there could be the difference.I would start Eccles and Saka too and if Wright doesn't get some game time under his belt think EMC gets the nod.

I literally said i wasn't overly keen on Ntelo. Despite this, I've looked at some of his highlights and tried to put myself in the managers shoes and understand what qualities he has that he can offer us.Welcome to day 538 in the SBT house, where the same handful people moan at you on a daily basis, it’s literally Groundhog Day at this stage
Firstly, you’re all just proving my point that the first ST that we’re linked with (not even any concrete evidence we’re getting him) you’ll all saying he’s exactly what we want and the best thing since sliced bread. Like there’s no other options at all? Are we not allowed to have an opinion other than “we’re linked with him therefore he must be good”?
Find it really odd that we have to seem to be positive about any potential signing we make. Where’s all your sense of questioning and thought? I realise I’ve not been overwhelmed by many players linked with us so far (I think Dovin and Rudoni are decent for the record) but jeez at least I’m questioning things rather than calling random strangers names and providing zero evidence for why they’re good.
Which leads me on to my second point, where’s the proof he’s actually any good? About a 30% strike rate for a team that finished 5th in the Bulgarian league last season, hardly a quality league and his highlight reel could be a reel for any striker in almost any league, there’s nothing outstanding in it at all.

This guy looks alright but I think his rating might be a bit too low for us.

Please stopBefore you say I play football manager etc I don’t, just now and again I like perusing the made-up stats fifa put out, even for our current team (I think Van Ewijk is our best player on fifa ratings btw).
I’m not going to put a “fifa value” on what we should be signing as it varies from position to position and what we want out of the particular (starting/back up etc), but if you’re going down that route then I’d say I hope we’re looking at players 61-65 and above (maybe?).
