I did indeed
So you have a season ticket then?
I did indeed
Unfortunately yes, but not for much longer. So you have a season ticket then?
Venus controls the budget , is responsible for player negotiations aswel I believe .
Find it odd we keep missing out on all our targets , he will know why
People not leaving was a positive. I believe in bringing in who you want to bring in and don't start chasing around after anyone.
I have been saying for a long time that signing players is difficult, you don't just phone them up and they join.
This season is as good as a lost cause. But we do need to start structuring for next season and regarding that I do wonder whether Slade is the right appointment?
It's doesn't matter who is in charge next season if Sisu are still here.
This window completely shows that Sisu and Fisher have given up on the club.
No ambition to get some experienced players in to have a go at staying in this league.
Sisu have parked the bus and as long as the club is breaking even they don't need to worry about this investment.
Is there any point to the rest of this season as a Coventry fan?

if we are in league 2 we need a new manager not new contract for slade. This is true, if we don't have a manager confirmed by end of May then we're gonna fall behind other in the recruitment of the free agents again.
The structure needs to be in place just to stop another year of poor recruitment and going to league 2 grounds and being pushed around supporting our "own"
At this level players become readily available in the summer as they are only generally on a 2 year deal tops.
No.i wonder if otis will be starting threads about this recruitment window?
Jo Murphy
Stuart Okeef
Nicky Ajose
Charlie Wyke
Le Fondre (wouldn't come to us)
However to do the above if the rumours of values are true ironically in this situation I would have accepted cut price sales.
Stevenson 1 million if that was offered
Willis £500k if that was offered
Haynes 200k if that was offered.
All undervalued but if it allows you to sign the people that allows you to stay up. Then needs must.
No.
Said before, I think Clarke is an improvement on what we had and so too Beavon.
Too soon to judge Rawson and Vernam yet and obviously we have only just got Folivi.
The recruitment in the summer was an absolute abomination. We all know it.
The jury is still out on THIS recruitment window. Slade however inherited a lemon.
I know for a fact that we were offered £325K for Willis and £125K for Haynes
Not sure about Stevenson but the strong rumour is £600K plus loads of add ons
if we are in league 2 we need a new manager not new contract for slade.
We could try Jones on the left which is his correct position and he might start getting the crosses inYep.
Would expect a front two of Vernam and Beavon with the new young lad to come on from the bench if needed.
We do need better quality into the box though for sure.
Yes, agree, but can see Slade's contract not being renewed in the summer and Sam Ricketts taking over.I'm gonna be brave... I'd stick with him.
His preferred style of football would be far more effective if he had a summer to get his own team in and not a window. And it will suit league two. The state of some of them pitches at the minute is like going back 25 years.
Sure it's not working at the minute, hence the last few formations we've tried to find a formula with personnel we have. Confidence is so low and the longer a game goes on the more fragile we look. With no natural goal scorer we've been in big trouble for a long long time.
Chesterfield was poor, but the telling difference was a 30 yard shot... if only Thomas managed to convert his chance, Tudgay was deemed onside..
Fleetwood was ugly football but we set up to stop the form side in the league who've scored in every game this year bar one... and the days later beat sheff Utd 2-0.
Northampton, Willis off early on didn't help matters then and as usual with a big following we collapse.
This summer is critical, the biggest summer the clubs faced for years, we need stability on the managerial side. Cannot waste time interviewing taking till start of the preseason to hire a new man. A manager needs to have his targets identified by middle of May to get the skeleton of the team outlined and set about doing business especially with the predicted slump in season ticket sales.
Waste time and we're looking like doing a Luton, Stockport and dropping out the league only this time we all know it will be for good.
Stability is key....
Which players that have moved tonight in League One would you have taken?
I think bringing in 7 players is a bit OTT there, FergieNicky Ajose, Tope Obadeyi, Anthony Grant, Eoin Doyle, Rohan Ince, Jack King and Craig MacKail-Smith for starters...

Perhaps I'm not keeping up but we didn't get anyone in? BUT we kept our star players? So each year we call them out for selling our best to cash in (Madison etc) but when they don't do that you are complaining? dammed if you do and dammed if you don't?
So you are holding a manager who had 10 games as accointablw for relegation. But the actualy manager in charge for half a season that sees us relegated deserves a new contract.Yes, agree, but can see Slade's contract not being renewed in the summer and Sam Ricketts taking over.
Star players?? That is one of the funniest posts ever on here lol
Who can you class as star players?
The ones who would have been star players if sold, they are back to just shite now.
Yes, that's exactly what I said!! Of course it is. Doh!!!So you are holding a manager who had 10 games as accointablw for relegation. But the actualy manager in charge for half a season that sees us relegated deserves a new contract.
Wow
He wasn't playing as a striker, and he hadn't any game time with rest of the team so a bit early to condemnHe was shocking against Northampton. Mind you who wasn't!
Did anyone else get the impression that aside from the willy waving going on (we this, we that, the implied told you so we know best etc ) that Mr Reid became a way of managing fans expectation for the club? The bottom line was that very little actually seemed to happen. It was built up and let down slowly and easily. The only surprise is no one left, perhaps for CCFC to survive in L1 they needed to?
Yes, that's exactly what I said!! Of course it is. Doh!!!
I am merely stating what I think the club will do.
I made absolutely no opinion on the matter of Slade's management.
I think they won't renew his contract should we go down and think they will go for the cheaper option of Ricketts.
Wow indeed.
We don't have any star players as such but it's relative isn't it.so come on, who are these star players?
I agree that stability is key, yes.steve82 said i would keep slade and stability is key
you said yes agree
