Gyokeres or Hamer could get injured in training like O'Hare did. As the Wrexham guy said playing a weakened team and then having a replay would mean another midweek match, and I feel losing to a non league team would have a negative impact on morale.Unfortunately clubs nowadays don’t see the FA cup the same as supporters. I would be more than happy to play our strongest 11 and win the game comfortably, but I’d imagine a cup run means a lot more to Wrexham than it does to us.
It’s almost a certainty that Robins won’t play the likes of Gyokeres or Hamer in case of injury, especially as we have just lost our talisman O’Hare to an ACL. At the end of the day the league is far more important, and we are in with a real shout of finishing in the play offs. Play and potentially lose Gyokeres through injury against (No disrespect intended) Wrexham in the FA cup would be almost suicidal to our chances.
I'd remember how it went for us at Southampton, not sure how comparable the difference in quality is but they needed to bring on their 'big' players to swing the tie and even then it was only in extra time. This competition does tend to bite you in the arse if you take the piss with selection, and sometimes even if you don't.Gyokeres or Hamer could get injured in training like O'Hare did. If we had Godden or Walker fit I could see a case for leaving out Gyokeres for this one, as he did play for Sweden during the World Cup break. But I have no confidence in Waghorn and I do not think this is a match for Tavares on his own up front. If we resort to Waghorn/Tavares and a weakened midfield I can't see us winning. Wrexham will be up for this match, quite rightly so and so should we. I hope the club treats this match in a professional way.
Yes and I suspect the difference in quality is roughly similar.I'd remember how it went for us at Southampton, not sure how comparable the difference in quality is but they needed to bring on their 'big' players to swing the tie and even then it was only in extra time. Been a lot of home games during an expensive time too and I assume it’ll be easy to find streaming?
It might be but tell me what manager or player, especially a Championship one, wouldn't be excited by a strong Cup run. Get into the later stages and the prize money surely helps too.I’m not saying it’s what I would wan’t, I’m just saying that’s probably what the thought process is.
yeah, it's on s4c and s4c-onlineDidn't someone say it's on TV, on some freeview channel? S4C maybe?

Well, some of us did. It was pretty obvious who didn'tMark Robins, multiple times.
It wasn't so long ago we all traipsed to Burton to watch him put out a second string and then stand and watch us get our arse handed to us without bringing on any "big guns".
It should be on Disney+Been a lot of home games during an expensive time too and I assume it’ll be easy to find streaming?
I’m trying to set up an online account to watch. Bluffed my way through the welsh registration. I think I have a account but not sure. Anyone else overseas tried?yeah, it's on s4c and s4c-online

To be fair - that Cup game was worth about £11k for winning. A bit different to the FA Cup prize money for progressing.
For those interested the S4C coverage is decent to be fair. Its on BBC iplayer and Sky 134. It has English commentary too.yeah, it's on s4c and s4c-online
I think the gap between the Premier league and Championship is massive. There you literally are playing against some of her best players in the world.lads we are 1 league below southampton, while there is a big quality gap it's much bigger down to non league
Hi
I don’t suppose you have a link?
I’ve booked mine and my lads but nothing showing yet.
Thanks

No criticism but I am slightly surprised you would miss out on the chance to get two away matches worth of (20) points for a relatively small entrance fee. I think the club are missing a trick if they don't highlight this on socials as there might be some fans who are struggling in January thinking they could go to this one for £13 and save £100s in travel and tickets for Burnley and Preston away and then not loose out on overall points.I ain't going, already spend enough home and away , it's also just not an appealing tie for me .
Il watch it on the box
Yes, its ridiculous to compare the League Cup and FA Cup.
Second round proper winners | (20) | £67,000 |
Third round proper winners | (32) | £105,000 |
Fourth round proper winners | (16) | £120,000 |
Fifth round proper winners | (8) | £225,000 |
Quarter-final winners | (4) | £450,000 |
Semi-final winners | (2) | £1,000,000 |
Semi-final losers | (2) | £500,000 |
Final runners-up | (1) | £1,000,000 |
Final winners | (1) | £2,000,000 |
And the rest. Apparently sales never got past ST holders and as it’s advertised as pay on the day I can imagine a loadI'm going, but wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if we had our arses slapped, it's all set up for a "Giant killing".
I'm not looking forward to seeing 6,000 Welsh taking the piss.
I already have way over 1400 points , I'm goodNo criticism but I am slightly surprised you would miss out on the chance to get two away matches worth of (20) points for a relatively small entrance fee. Obviously the league is the bigger attraction but if your struggling for cash and don't want to miss out on points it's not a bad idea.
Cup final tickets will be allocated to those who attend the 3rd round game ;-)I already have way over 1400 points , I'm good
Totally irrelevant; if Wrexham want it and we don’t, it’s clear cut. We’ve been embarrassed enough times to know that.lads we are 1 league below southampton, while there is a big quality gap it's much bigger down to non league
Yes I don't think people are aware of the sums involved to progress £105,000 is a decent sum to put towards and second half of the season loan signing. Big tie next round and those numbers would rapidly increase.

not really as it’s costing more to stage the game
Ticket sales look hilarious
wont be more than 6k Cov
I love the FA Cup.
Been to lots of lower league/non league ties,
Played in it,
Been to Cup Finals...... But.....
This tie... good when it was drawn, but a few circumstances have just drained my appetite for going up. (ST Holder)
1, some generally not great games recently where atmosphere has been poor - have dragged myself up through illness and been pissed off that I did.
2, 5:30 ko...not a great time, (kids both got chicken pox so will need to support their bedtime with Mrs S.)
3, Takeover malarkey causing a bit of discontent.
4, Cost of living pinching bit - petrol/tickets etc
5, likelihood of seeing how bad a thrown-together side are against a team in form and up for the game....
All a bit ...."meh" really....
not really as it’s costing more to stage the game
