The ground? Why would the council be dealing with a ground deal when WASPS own it?

A bit more to report
Apparently it's a takeover, Venus will be gone as they want there own man in with some cash. Stumbling block is the ground as the council are holding out for more than is being offered
I believe wasps are not the stumbling block
It will be a major investment
Start praying
Why would they even consider selling?

How do you quadruple like something nick? The ground is owned by the council. WASP's own the lease. WASP's are prepared to let the lease go. So the council need to buy back the lease and then sell the ground 15 to 20 mill I am led to believe.
Please be aware that this information is second hand and I am not intentionally leading anyone on. My question was why would they keep Venus until Jan and invest when a new manager would have no time to strengthen? I got a shrug of the shoulder.
I really hope that this is the news we have been waiting for. I will be as gutted as the rest of you if this does not happen

Much as I'd love to believe you, it just sounds too implausible to me, even if all followed logically. The ground is owned by the council. WASP's own the lease. I really don't know what WASP's predicament is. I do know that the rumoured buyer is more than capable of buying them as well (if they choose)
