Just checking and the EU already has a comprehensive FTA with Chile signed in 2003. Trade agreement with Singapore signed in 2010. Trade agreement with Malaysia signed in 2010. Trade agreement signed with Vietnam in 2012 new agreement in discussions now. Trade negotiations with New Zealand started this year. Comprehensive free trade agreement with Mexico in negotiations as we speak with many details agreed in April of this year. Comprehensive FTA with Peru signed in 2010.
Have I missed anyone?
Looks like these “countries that the EU would love to deals with” is old news. Japan, Canada and Australia seems to be the last of them. And they’re all tailored to suit not the of the peg reject we’ve been offered. This invite to join the TPP seems more and more insulting everytime you look at it in detail.
So I’ll ask again. What benefit is there in joining the TPP for the U.K.? You’re first answer seems redundant so you need another one. At least.
