In fact have it your way. Have it the way the 3 of you are saying. The EU will give the UK what it wants. All we need is to be in the customs union and all is well. There is no chance of FOM remaining.

And whilst the 3 of you all pat each other on the back I will find someone sensible and not twisting everything who wants a debate. Because you 3 are a waste of time.

...on certain conditions. Like we hold EU elections, but if the French get their supposed way we will have no say in the decision making for the next President of the commission...so an apparent contradiction in itself.

NOW is the moment TM should seize them by the goolies & tell them we aren't holding the elections, or we have full & continued say until we leave, or we walk without a deal. I suspect there will be a grovelling type acceptance though.

Yeah. Well Rees Mogg and Mark Francois have said that perfide Albion will be a Trojan Horse in the EU. The UK will block the EU Budget, any moves to integration and just generally behave like naughty school boys. Surprisingly enough, the EU countries are trying to find a way of stopping the UK of having potential mal influence on the future of the EU of given an extension.

The idea of a Trojan horse is to catch the enemy by surprise. Now that the idiots have told the world their perfide plan, the UK will have to sit it in the corner with as little influence as possible.

Who will still vote Tory after this Brexit debacle?

Meanwhile. The EU/ China trade talks are showing signs of progress. XI has said he is prepared to open his markets more to the EU and both parties have agreed to work together in mutual respect. Are China / UK talks still stalled because of Gavin Williams‘ aircraft carrier antics?

How have my masters reacted? I hope the EU gives them a year on condition they come up with a viable plan acceptable to a majority and ratified by a people’s vote which includes the deal and both no deal and remain. Fairest way out of this.

A predictable knee-jerk reaction which will ultimately do even more damage to the EU. Exactly what I wanted to see, brilliant!:emoji_thumbsup:

What on earth have you been drinking or smoking? We are an independent country... as far you can be if you want to get on as a country. We have given up some sovereignty in every treaty we have ever signed. We will continue to sign treaties and trade deals for ever. We will never be completely independent. In fact the more isolated we become, the less influence we will have and the less chance we will have of getting good terms of trade. Anyone who thinks less integration is a positive is going to be disappointed, especially with trade and security.

So what about old Jezza and May getting down to brass tacks then? If she got the tippex out on her red line and went along with his customs union proposals, would that keep the pro EU team happy?

I was always erring against canceling the wretched thing due to the disillusionment it would cause, but I’m now of the opinion that the whole thing should be binned, as going through with it is going to be far worse.

Theresa May won't go for that because it will cause even more disunity in the Tory party, that's her #1 priority, to keep the Conservatives in power.

Tories will lose votes but Labour won't lose many at all. Labour doesn't have much more than the hard core Labour voters presently. Corbyn as leader hasn't got many floating voters on Labour's side. If he had Labour would be running away with it. But the longer this bullshit goes on for the more the Tory voters will desert them.

I do think that the press’s behaviour before the last election with the weird Mail front pages pushed many errring to voting Labour.

The openly gay ex Olympic fencer thing was just weird and they seemed to think that they were able to print any old bigotry.
