I agree they don't. I don't think there would be that many upset if Scotland voted to leave the UK. We have taken most of their oil money off them. What other use do some people see them as being?
Not true Scotland receives more per head funding as a consequence of the Barnett formula than anywhere else except for Northern Ireland. It's what has made the flagship policies north of the border financially viable while the likes of North East England gets about half of the money. Though if we want to move back to drawing lines on maps and saying 'everyone on this side is like this and everyone on the other side is like that', let's go for it
