Hancock was yesterday talking about setting up a system where primary care trusts and order ppe from a central store. Surely they should of been done weeks ago

For the thousandth time I would put a tweet on from someone who wanted to make a point on terrorist deaths that was a lie and clearly wasn’t very bothered how many had died

The headline was ok anyway

I knew you would find the headline OK.

So you think a thousand people dying is a good day and Operation Last Gasp is funny, but saying Boris should take it on the chin is the most abhorrent sentence ever written.

The right are so sensitive bless their cotton socks.

They’ve gone with the headline “get well soon babe” this morning so don’t hold your breath.
Vaccine key to UK exit strategy and 'the lives cut short'

it’s fairly obvious that the plan is to deflect away from any questioning around the handling of the crisis. Their reporters must have taken a gander at this board and been inspired.

with any luck the Sun will go under, however that then puts The Daily Mail out on its own as the biggest paper in the country

I can only imagine this exact same scenario of the PPE, but with Labour in charge and Corbyn at the helm and him having Coronavirus instead of Boris.

It would be 'wish him well', but an absolute shitstorm and character assassination in the papers.

The shortage of PPE to our frontline workers is an absolute scandal.

Health ministers are rarely qualified for roles as most politicians specialise in arts subjects and very few I can think of have any medical qualifications. The shadow guy is a carbon copy of Hancock

I wonder if the shadow guy would try and throw NHS staff under the bus?

We are back to square one. A saying that was created for football if you are interested.

The death in office if a prime minister during a national crises would have had a devastating effect on morale and it would be the same if it was Corbyn - it’s vital he survives

The Mail has been the most critical regarding PPE?

They have been, but there has been a big let up in general upon the government and on Boris, even before he got infected.

Really, this should be the headline of every single paper.

We have know since January this was coming.

Doctors and nurses should not be dying.

They are dying in every country. The WHO believes the world is only at 60% required levels. As someone on here said all businesses operate on JIT supply metric these days and that probably has to be looked at

The Sun won’t ever go under. It’s worth it to keep it afloat at any cost for the propaganda gains alone. Probably makes him billions in the long run.

Take a look at the front pages of The Guardian and The Sun in the link above.

One talks about the tragic loss of life and one talks about Carrie sending letters to Boris.

I can't believe you're actually defending The Sun, on anything. Actually yes I can believe it.

To be fair to the Mail their headlines do seem to be on point and related to the Coronavirus whereas the sun seems to have moved Dear Deidre to the front page. Even the Express have gone with a front page of Desperate nurses Easter plea. The Sun showing how substandard they are.

It has to be. The whole world knew about this January. It is scandal.

Im not defending the sun again you are fabricating - you’d actually make a good journalist for the sun

“SBT poster wants thousands of pensioners to die” and no evidence

Oh wow the irony of this.

You have accused me of wanting people to die, you've accused me of wanting Johnson to die, you have called me every name under the sun because you fabricated something in your mind about me wanting Johnson dead, you did some weird little twitter game to try and fabricate a point.

I really do suggest you take some time off the Internet for a bit.

We don’t live in every country, our government doesn’t represent the population of every country.

I think this forum is a goldmine for Sun journalists, all they have to do is follow Coventrian and there’s a week’s worth of taglines right there.

You have comprehension difficulties unfortunately and again we are back to square one. Several others commented on your unhealthy zeal regarding the prime ministers illness and expressed disgust at your crass comments

One asked for evidence to support your accusation regarding me - something you could not supply.

You keep banging on about taking time off the internet yet many agreed with me - should we all take time off as we can all see through it?

When you have the PM (and his dad bizarrely) poo-pooing COVID19 as a matter of importance on national TV while other countries were already counting corpses and starting to lock down, I would venture that supply chain readiness is not the root cause of the problem.

I read something earlier about Greece's response.

They closed non essential shops and services 4 days after the first death (Italy was 18 days and Spain was 30 days, not sure what ours was) and they have done a very good job of keeping it under control with only 8 deaths per million people, compared with about 300 for Italy and Spain.

Obviously there are demographical and geographical reasons that will have made it easier for them, but they've showed the way to do it.

You cannot call anyone crass when you have said you found Operation Last Gasp so funny.

People dying because there aren't enough ventilators is hilarious isn't it? But I'm crass and disgusting for suggesting one man should follow his own advice? Classic.

New Zealand- pretty much ridiculed herd immunity as a dangerous crackpot idea, did the right thing on day one and they have 1 death. Or at least they did last time I saw.

It’s leadership and critical decision making that saves lives, added to the particular circumstances around the county itself- island, small population etc

Again though other people who are politically aligned to you also had no issue with it and saw it for what it was (it didn’t happen anyway) - you seem to have no concept of what happens in the real world

How would you actually have a herd immunity policy in New Zealand. Countries like New Zealand cannot be compared to huge western countries with free cross border access

They were warned. The warnings started under Blair.
No one has decided to do anything about it. But as I said the other day, if it happens on your (10 year) watch, you have to own it.
