I can tell you what it isn’t. It isn’t bin bags for aprons.I’m genuinely interested what the PPE equipment is - this I assume?

Cheis Smith a senior virologist has frequently stated they are not of much use at all - explained in some detail on a 5 line interview last Saturday (he takes Q and A every week) - I think the Cambridge educated Mr Smith might know more than you
Your point of view seems to be that you know more than the healthcare workers themselves, who appear to be telling lies and all is actually fine and dandy. 28 healthcare workers have died so far, some have ended up wearing binbags while treating highly contagious patients. So bearing in mind the massive meltdown you went into when Boris went into hospital, and the rage you exhibited at what you saw as a lack of respect for him, to be making these kinds of statements is somewhat... macabre.

Yep look they recommend face masks.

Chris Smith was talking about the general public wearing face masks and how you can get the virus trapped in the face mask and then wear it all day.So why are so many in charge of the wards desperately requesting it? Are there studies proving it's ineffective and thus stop us wasting time and money on it?
I'm getting images of that Blackadder episode with Tom Baker on whether a ship needed a crew. "Opinion is divided on the subject. All the other captains say it is. I say it isn't"
Yeah to right taser her at same time!!She needs dog shit shoving down her throat !!!
It makes me laugh that the people thinking they are taking the higher ground here are actually as bad as, if not worse than the people they are trying to argue with.
There's many people on here that need to take a good look at themselves. It's just the Brexit thread part two, with the same bitter souls putting words in the mouths of others because they can't cope with their favoured politics being rejected by the majority of country.
Maybe by being a little bit more understanding and open to honest and adult debate something good could come of it. I guess we'll have to accept that will never happen though.
This thread really is pathetic.

frontline staff are dying because of political incompetence, you think it doesn't need highlighting?
It really fucking does.
Its not Brexit mark 2.
What understanding are you suggesting and these needs to be good to excuse frontline staff dying due to lack of the correct equipment.

like I said- politics is religion.
Someone in Labour talks about having a party if Boris dies? Outrage! horror! String him up!
multiple deaths due to govt failures? You’re just bitter about Brexit
all decency disappeared.

The WHO actually says that masks on their own aren’t effective. The same way as a crash helmet won’t stop you getting road rash if you come off a motorbike wearing just a crash helmet and underpants. You need full PPE for it to be at its most effective not part PPE.So why are so many in charge of the wards desperately requesting it? Are there studies proving it's ineffective and thus stop us wasting time and money on it?

A lot of this thread is absolutely nothing to do with Coronavirus.
It's an easy excuse for some to hide behind though.
What is with this victim mentality?
As far as I can see, all parties have been criticised. I think Labour are a load of shit, but my thoughts on the tories are almost exactly the same.
I don't know why some think it is such one way traffic when it's pretty obvious the abuse has been coming from both sides.
Coronavirus: Public wearing masks is 'cosmetic, not effective' - UK doctor
Dr Chris Smith of Cambridge University talking about face masks.
He is clear he is talking about the usage of masks by the general public and not frontline NHS staff

examples?
I hope you're not suggesting me because I've stuck up for the NHS and the staff on every fucking political thread on this forum. I actually genuinely believe they're heroes beyond clapping on my door step on a Thursday evening.
You're the one showing an agenda here.

What the fuck are you on about?
My agenda is that both sides of the political spectrum are are each others throats about any bit of dust they can kick up. Relevant or not relevant.
What examples do you want? Jimmy Saville? Brexit? How many houses you own? Deep down you know I've got a point. Why would this thread have been moved over here if I didn't?
Equally no one has said anything about not appreciating the NHS. All I see though is some sad bitter men on here.
who is saying it’s all one way traffic?
it's absolutely embarrassing and shows total disdain for our NHS staff.
I've asked twice on this thread is there a need to call back more experienced Tories due to the firstly lack of numbers due to isolation and then gain due to the evident lack of experience. But this is all about partisan politics, fucking pathetic.
I'd hail Tommy Robinson as a hero if he flew in with a plane load of the correct equipment. Some people need a look at themselves.
I actually agree with a lot of what you say there, but who are these ‘sad individuals’, because it comes across like you have perceived the Conservatives to be getting a kick in and felt aggravated by if. What is your view on the way they’ve handled it? Because like it or not it is them that have handled it
You literally just said about 10 minutes ago that there was a difference between how labour get treated and the tories with your example about making Boris jokes and Brexit.
I don't see why I have to be a hardcore Labour or Tory supporter. I despise both of them in pretty equal measure and I've also openly criticised both or them when I've deemed it necessary.
I've openly said I think they could have dealt with it better. Equally I think Labour would have dealt with it worse.
I have little faith in any of them to be quite honest, but I'll happily applaud the right moves if I see them made, regardless of who it is from.
