That's not my argument. Persuading people to get jabbed isn't the NHS' responsibility, implementing the rollout is and they've done that part brilliantly.

This was never about 'it's fine they weren't vaxxed before', the hope I assume was always to persuade the remaining staff of the importance and safety of the jab compared to spreading Covid around a hospital. You work in that sector you've got a duty of care to your patients which with a new and even more infectious variant around is violated if you still don't want to accept increased immunity against it.

Call me a bad person if you want for thinking that

I would imagine the steps which have been sufficient from then to now would still be good enough for me to be treated by staff without even having to care what their vaccination status is ...

That's the truth ... this the honest answer , it's been good enough to now .. nothing has changed

PCR just depends how many cycles are done to amplify the viral DNA, which in itself doesn’t even confirm you’re infectious still. Viral culture is the ultimate proof but not viable on the scale we need

Health workers have always been required to vaccinate against illnesses that can harm their patients. Where were you before arguing against that? What’s so special about the Covid vaccine?

They’ve had a year to get a jab, numbers aren’t high enough so now a hard deadline is in with time to get fully vaxxed. Would you rather they just sacked people on the spot?

You’re making out like the gestapo are out holding down people while crazed Dr Mengele jabs experimental drugs in them. All that’s happening is a condition of employment is being brought in with a decent grace period to comply or find a new career.

It really is up for debate. For every article you post saying it lowers transmission 'significantly' there is one which points out the limitations of it.

You also now have a lot of people hiding behind their QR code and not taking precautions as much, testing as frequently, or being aware they have symptoms. Those three things will be undoing whatever level of reduction in transmission there is.

We are the most vaxxed we have ever been and even before this variant it is spreading like wildfire. That isn't just due to the non-vaxxed.

We are the most vaxxed we have ever been and even before this variant it is spreading like wildfire. That isn't just due to the non-vaxxed.

30% of the population isn’t vaxxed at all and a lot of the transmission is in schools where for obvious reasons there is much less immunity built up. You can’t get 100% prevention of infection but you clearly get more, and not just a bit more either.

When you’re working with people whose general health is worse or compromised then that matters.
