With the talk of Russian oil/gas and increasing our energy independence, I bet Sturgeon sees long term gains from the situation. If we want more homegrown energy, a lot lies in Scottish waters so she'd have a strong bargaining chip. That report's not quite true either. The pay rise for public sector is 1.7% for band one, 2.7% for band two... which I think makes an average less than 2.7%

Aren't you in favour of low pay rises because they drive inflation? I seem to remember you were heavily against a pay rise of less than 2% for a particular group recently, using that as your justification. Or is that just for the hoi polloi on low wages?
