Wouldn't need to. Doug can import some of their delicacies and shake up the half time entertainment. Choose the poorest playing player from first half and have a public flogging:
Whip it for a ticket?
Did Sporting choose to or was it contractual due to their success (Vic scoring loads and them winning league etc.) ?I still find it strange that Sporting paid us some money to reduce the sell on fee %. They must have thought there was a good chance of him going to ask to reduce it.
I get why they've done it - more the timing that I don't get.
There’s no way I’d live and work in Saudi Arabia for any amount of money.

Clever adaptation of the much famed Yorkshire half time entertainment: Whippet for a Ticket.
No, the other addons such as reaching targets were separate. Sporting apparently paid us circa 1M euros to reduce the sell-on to 10% as per our contract. That is 5% of what they originally paid. It will save them somewhere in the region of 3M euros if Vik goes for his sell-on clause.Did Sporting choose to or was it contractual due to their success (Vic scoring loads and them winning league etc.) ?
Wasn’t it reference in the leaked contract in a way that we get either all the add ons or all the sell on percentage, but not both? No, the other addons such as reaching targets were separate. Hopefully someone will do the Sheikh & Vic in the next few hours......Maybe a sheikh will come in for Vik he’s score 50 a season in that league.
That's kind of the point, though, isn't it.Is Viktor's release clause set too high?
Weren’t you saying on here months ago that he was certainly moving to Arsenal?Vik won't be moving now
They could have been posturing to flush out bids from any interested clubs by making it look like a deal was imminent.I still find it strange that Sporting paid us some money to reduce the sell on fee %. They must have thought there was a good chance of him going to ask to reduce it.

There are 1001 reasons why that won't happenHopefully someone will do the Sheikh & Vic in the next few hours......

I was indeed
Seems Arsenal just didn't fancy paying the release clause. Sporting wouldn't budge on it
They’d be sure to clean upHopefully someone will do the Sheikh & Vic in the next few hours......
Man Utd think little of blowing £80m+ on individual players almost every season.Looking at it now, his RC looks steep. Few clubs spend that sort of money. Even those that do have, to consider the PSR angle which now looks like it is starting to bring transfer values down.
Next year, he’s even older and even less likely to be sold on again at break-even (let alone a profit).
Having thought they’d hold out for something fairly close to their €100m, I think they’d be lucky to get €60 next summer, even if he has another great season.

Totally agree. I'm not a Premier League manager but when I think of Arsenal, I don't think of them having someone who's a world class out and out striker. Then getting rid of Nketiah and Rowe-Smith leaves them even shorter.Arsenal will absolutely kick themselves when they lose the title to Man City by a few points after their forwards drop them points throughout the season.
Antony, Maguire, Pogba, even Højlund wasn’t far off that priceAntony
Saw him miss on absolute sitter at the Ricoh when he was playing for Peterborough. Probably the worse miss I've ever seen,Toney is class, how can you say he’s shite? Anyone that knows anything about football can see he’s a quality striker

Because anyone not in the know, is more likely not to know ‘than to know you know it makes sense!!How don't you know?
