Was part of Lampards failures at Chelsea and Everton but part of the staff that won the Champions League in between those appointments.
I'm not saying it's not good, just be interesting to hear why you're pleased with it.

2 year deal seems odd. Surely for stability it needs to be this season plus two years as a minimum. I know it means a bigger pay off if it's wrong, but who sets out like that? We'll presumably back him in the window and after Robins and Adi got 4 year deals it seems low.

Managers very rarely see out their contract. Almost always they’re being sacked midway through, or they’re a success and they’re signing extensions until it goes wrong and they’re sacked!

I think we all agree Rhys Carr deserves to stay as part of the coaching setup. Not really arsed about anyone else, especially if we bring better in as part of the new manager appointment

Given King's comments about the quality of the coaching staff if Boateng remains then that would be a very peculiar decision.

Based on what? He's part of the new set up that people have consistently bemoaned. Stepped into the breach but played three, won none and conceded 2 in every match. Whilst I'm not saying it's his fault, I've seen nothing to convince me that he should or shouldnt stay.

Agree, but I'd like to think that he at the very least costed out that when he made the decision to remove MR and that it wasnt as kneejerk as it might have appeared. Whilst not a football man, he is a businessman, but who knows.
