Eccles mistake but we have numerous chances to stop that goal as it was 80 yards forward next to their penalty area.
Just on the subject of the “weak and poor” midfield-like people’s opinion if they still think Eccles is the best midfielder and is having a great season still?

Not desperate at all for Lampard to fail. Was impressed with his words when he first came in.

how anyone can say this is much better or an improvement is beyond me.

Weve played poor opposition, lost 4-1 to the team that were bottom and drew with a team that had 10 men for a half.

Statistically I think we're slightly better, but just looking at the performances, there doesn't seem to be any more "umph", urgency, passion. Other than EMC there doesn't seem to be much individual improvment under the new manager or his back room team.

We don't know what was agreed with King and Lamps prior to his appointment so we have to see if King will allow him to bring in some fresh faces. Lots on here have repeatedly said we need strengthening/competiton in certain areas. With that in mind, we should give the new man the opportunity to do this and see if he's able to use his name/talent to spot, recruit and develop accordingly. After all, Rome wasn't built in a day, it took years and lots of in and outs for the last bloke to turn it around.

Yeah it was a rubbish pass but we had so much time and so many chances to prevent the goal. Thomas in particular was all over the shop for the goal.

And Eccles was having a really good season. For the first 15 games or so he was the pick of the bunch along with Wright. He's been a bit rubbish recently though.

Problem with Eccles is he has one or two good games followed by 3/4 bad

he’s been much better this season, but still inconsistent

How much could you realistically expect to change in the one month he’s been in charge?

Yes we’ve played 8 or 9 games but there’s not actually much contact time with the players because we’ve been playing so many games in quick succession.

Id have him over the others at the moment TBH. But they’re all decidedly average.

Little bit of chatter in the away end about Thomas is off.

After the game he spent an awful long time clapping the fans although he looked like he was apologising.
Thomas was below par today, poor passing and looking slow at times.

Absolutely pathetic. That last 5 mins we were a fucking disgrace. Dovin and cb arguing what to do with a gk, they then walk to the half way line and then Bobby thomas plays a 50 yard pass out for a gk.

Fuck this team, I'm sick of them

Scum, all of them
I really hate comments like this. Really hate them and there are several others above of a similar ilk. Call yourselves supporters. They are a football team - they tried hard - they weren't good enough. You really do need to lighten up

Very angry Cardiff fan passed me on the way out.

“It’s hard 10 men playing against 12, the fucking ref must be on your payroll”. Stomp, stomp…

I’m not sure I’d be angry enough to mouth off to an opposing team’s supporters.

So Robins has an excuse for being shite but Lampard doesn’t?

I understand now
The manager has changed but it is the same group of players. Lampard will need the rest of this season just to work out what he's got.

And please don't imagine, although I know a number of you will, that there will be a wholesale clear out in the summer. That's for the fairies. Lampard has to work with a team that will be mainly made up of this group. We do not have the financial clout to go large in the transfer market, end of

You guys are going to have to get used to being a mid-table club somewhere between 16th and 10th. That is our financial situation and money decided most things in football. always has

That's the problem, though; they don't seem to care enough to really give it 100% total commitment. There are no bodies on the line players.

Cardiff wanted it more than us today, and that's by far the first time you can say that about the opposition.
I understand a lack of skill not the crap about lack of effort

Most teams in any division are made up players of very similar skill. But to win you need 2-3 players who are a cut above. You can see this rule in international teams like Croatia who outperformed because they had Modric. You can also see where this argument is heading....

Ridiculous last comment, we shouldn’t expect that. The owner has clearly stated the ambitions are different.

If we sell Milan and sheaf as well as vik money there’s plenty to play with, it’s just utilizing it way better

We have on several occasions shown ourselves to be nonplussed when faced with a team with a packed defence that in particular shuts off Saka. Derby, Millwall to name a couple. There seems to be a lack of smarts to solve the problem. Plenty of effort but no brains
