SISU are in receipt of a grant for half a million pounds, not their money, but a grant - and they can't hand over some 2 percent of this value to a charity so that their academy can be held at arm's length from this dispute: and you think it's this bloke's interview that's bringing the club into disrepute?

What I have said previously is that I think this interview in the CT has been in parts based on PWKH and solely his opinion of himself at expense of the club and I am sick of it..

Surely he wouldn't have an agenda if the bills had been paid? He's maybe justifiably upset the club have a huge grant to run an academy and are seemingly unwilling or unable to give across a slither for it's intended purpose?

Read my words again. I didn't say he didn't have an agenda. I stated it wouldn't be relevant or am issue if the bills had been paid.
He's upset. Rightly so. Rightly so as the academy are being messed about for no good reason. That's why his points are so emotive.

I have answered this already, what PWKH could have done instead of jumping in front of the CT and spouting his opinion, is kept it quiet from the media and gone to CCFC (SISU) and said "This money needs to be paid as its owed to the centre and the charity, we give you till the end of the month". Its not like that this would have been hard to do surely in his place of authority PWKH could have pushed this through the right channels to get this money or even discussed this with other people, not jump on the CT and tell them "Well I built this from ground up", "It was my idea", "I persuaded people for a year" and so on!!
That's just trying to boost your own reputation when you have the 15 minutes of fame...
Did that, got nowhere. If what you call 15 minutes of fame, and it doesn't much feel that, gets the Academy back into the Higgs Centre with Sisu paying their bills the result will be worth it. I assume nobody on here wants to risk the closure of the Academy.
The fact that they have not paid is not an opinion it is a fact.

All I can say is I live very near to the AHC and try getting a pitch booked is impossible unless you want it at 9.30 at night...god forbid you ask for a grass pitch, it is ALWAYS booked by the club, if the center opened it up a little more to the community maybe you would not need to rely on the halfwits running the academy. I have ran 3 LOCAL (within 1 mile of the AHC) kids/youth football teams, and we could not get to use the facilities because of the academy...the academy that has a scouting network that does not work, again I know boys who are with Blues, Foxes, WBA, Villa, Burton, that travel from Coventry to train with these academies...I have in 8 years never seen a Coventry Scout at any youth games - when I asked a Cov scout about this he told me that if they are good enough they will get noticed :thinking about: the amount of boys in our catchment area? and look what we have brought through to the first team?:claping hands: rant over!!

The comments on the Cov Telegraph web site are mostly blaming the owners.. and rightly so in my opinion, they seem to be playing a nasty tactical game here, trying to rewrite the rules in their favour by refusing not only to honour contracts but not even to negotiate in good faith.. it is pretty despicable.

So if he is upset go straight to CCFC?? Why take the route to go through CT to then go to CCFC, what does it gain?? It could be all settled with a simple explanation, but it doesn't sound like this option was ever given a chance..

In all honesty the Higgs trust should not be taking any blame in this whatsoever, the trust was set up to help people in Coventry and in the past loaned money to CCFC to keep them alive. We have to remember that our previous owners sold our half share to the Higgs charity with i believe £4.5 million being paid to the club and a £2 million loan being written off. For this they have a half share in ACL and the lease of the Ricoh Arena, for which they have not made any profits or had any payments. So you could say they have £6.5 million tied up earning no interest or available for them to use.
For a year now CCFC have paid no rent for the Ricoh, ok ACL have taken the money from the escrow account and match day costs. But at the end of the day CCFC and Sisu, had a lot of years to renegotiate the rent and did nothing about it.
It now turns out the lease for using the Higgs centre was with CCFC Limited and has not been paid as this company is now in Admin. So it was down to CCFCH to sort this mess out but it was ignored and as the total debt was now £14k the academy is now suffering.
Yesterday morning Peter Knatchbull-Hugessen, chairman of the Alan Higgs Trust, was angrily insisting that there had been no communication and that the Sky Blues were refusing to respond to his letter, but he and the other Higgs trustees received an e-mail addressing some of the issues yesterday afternoon.

No. They should be damn embarrassed via the press. This is a minute sum and a fraction of a grant they have received.
There is absolutely no justification for the Academy being dragged into this sorry mess for such a paltry value, and for which someone else has already offered grant sum. None whatsoever

We all want the academy in the best facilities possible as does every fan so I understand whatever it takes and not against it, but I am sure that this could have been resolved without taking it to the CT and publishing an article where all the four lines aren't about the academy, but about yourself!!! That's not thinking of the academy is it??
I am not saying its anything less than fact, but it begs the question does anyone in Coventry know how to sit around a table and discuss things like adults??

Is this stalling or an attempt to let someone else shoulder the costs?
Can the trust ask what the grant money has or is being used for, it shouldn't be used so other costs, the club should be able to justify expenditure.

I for one hope so Hill83, I really do and we all know that SISU's negotiating skills behind closed doors are not great, but being in a business industry myself if I was playing hardball and looking for an immeadiate response I would go with something that just adds to the pressure of which there is already many and there is nothing in Football more pressure demanding than the public eye. I hope PWKH did as he says, but I don't trust either side at the moment and maybe that's clouding my opinion of this mess...

Ever think that after 5 years dealing with SISU that PWKH is feeling just a little frustrated by the whole situation. He deals with SISU every day, I am finding it hard not to sympathise
The reason the academy has to pay its discounted rate in advance is that on several ....... not just once..... occassions in the past the club has failed to pay its hire chharges and contractual agreements. On at least one occassion that has meant the academy has been locked out of the centre until the bill paid. Other occassions the bill has been paid late because the club "couldnt find the papework". Problems with the academy not paying bills is not something new...... and any organisation takes payment record in to account. But the charity and centre are portrayed in the media as the bad guys in this
The reason they couldnt use it recently was that there was no valid contract for CCFCHoldings to use the centre....... the company holding the contract CCFC Ltd no longer traded, no longer had money to pay the bill. The one thing we should have all learnt is that it is necessary to have a valid water tight contract with anything concerning SISU....... they can not just please themselves, they simply had no contract to use the Alan Higgs Centre, paying the old one still gives CCFCH no rights to use it legally. So despite the implication from the CT you have to ask who's fault is it?
So whilst some may disagree with PWKH's out burst it is i feel understandable. he has done it once in 5 (for everyone) very frustrating years :facepalm:
