I didn't say you were, but there is criticism for the ricoh from you, for stealing this academy, if there is indeed an issue with playing at the ricoh for this academy the problem is with footballcv, not the ricoh. It's also the case that this is a residential academy and so there is obviously going to be no issues with the kids getting to games, they will be bussed there from the accommodation.
I'm positive that sisu do not beilive building a new stadium is best for ccfc but thats completely irrelevent to chosing to play in northampton, we all agree the club should own their own stadium, everyone of us, the smart way to do that was to buy acl.
It's a residential academy, I would expect the parents to be excited for their kids to play at an amazing stadium but otherwise not really care at all.

Who is paying for floodlights, pitch maintenance, heating, initial preparation to get it ready, health and safety checks, hot water, cleaning the changing rooms? The tooth fairy?
It looks to me like this academy is a business, they are presumably paying to play at the ricoh in order to get them more exposure, to attract better players and ultimately make themselves more money. Some local team gets little benefit from doing this so wouldn't pay enough. I doubt this is acl being charitable, its presumably a business decision.

I think it's great a young acadamy are let to play at the Ricoh. What better place to attract scouts to come and have a good time?
The economy is irrelevant - even if they are having the place for free.
The important thing is it won't block for a return of the club should a miracle happen.

acl, though floodlights wont be used for this, most of the other costs though they keep having to pay whatever to keep the facility going, so getting someone in to use it is obviously sensible, the actual increased costs from letting kids play there a few times is very little and presumably they are being paid more than the costs, so sensible business, not in the slightest bit controversial unless you have an axe to grind.

if ccfc come back and if acl continue to have other games there during the week and if this negatively affects ccfc (ie the pitch suffers) then I'll criticize acl for it. Until then good for them to do everything they can to stay profitable.

Fwiw as a taxpayer, I'm delighted if ACL make enough money to survive using whatever means they see fit. At least, that is, until the club return. At that point, I'd expect CCFC to have first call on the pitch - as indeed they do, right now, should they choose to come back.

It's because he is misrepresenting it, the money lost by looking after the pitch is happening whatever, the extra costs from these people playing here will almost certainly be significantly less than they are paying acl.
So while the total costs to look after the pitch are probably higher than the academy are paying that does not mean as grendel says that the stadium lose out by having them here.

Have you any idea of how to run a business? If you were involved with ACL, would you jut sit around waiting for Sisu to sort themselves out which could take years or even worse Sisu build a new stadium, would you turn away someone who wanted to rent part of your business? doesn't make good business sense to take your attitude does it. One final thing, what a stupid remark you came out with "is that the best you can do ACL". What did you expect them to do? announce that they have a PL league team moving there. This is a start and shows that ACL are in fact doing what Sisu claim they are doing. How do you know what the financial agreement is for this new team, if they are indeed wealthy then does it not make sense?

Seriously? How much are they charging this non-league team in order to make a profit? Either the team are very well off and can afford the charges or ACL are selling themselves short. I fully expect them to try and install a new franchise, but really this is laughable. They could have approached Sphinx and at least be guaranteed some local support.
