I'm surprised the trust haven't pitched up in protest.
Weren't they trying to stupidly boycott CCFC games when we were at Sixfields and urging people to watch them Instead?
They shared with Sphinx and also played at Westwood Heath.
Never mind.

The womens team scheduling games at the Ricoh at the same time the mens side were playing in Sixfields probably didn't do much to help the relationship between them and SISU.
You might want to read this report from 2014 http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/coventry-city-ladies-go-top-8330113
it also says on their website that their home ground is the oval.
So who was the bad guy in that?

Well clearly we shouldn't have been playing at Sixfields but that's not really relevant to the situation with the womens team so I would suggest the bad guy in terms of what is relevant to this discussion is whoever at the ladies team took the decision to schedule games so they clash.
It must be relevant. The ladies team wouldn't have been able to play at the Ricoh otherwise.
Why is that? Do no other games take place at the Ricoh? What about things like local cup competitions at the Ricoh, will they be kicked out as well?
Following that logic if only one team are allowed to play there won't we be getting kicked out by Wasps?
Haha. Following your illogic. My goodness. You never cease to amaze me. The played there as a direct result of the move to Sixfields.
I get it. You hate ladies football. You hate Wasps. You hate ACL. You hate CCC.
They moved to the oval so they were more North than Copsewood. This meant they remained in the Northern premier league.
They now need funding as they are in the southern league and travelling is more expensive.
So they haven't always been in Befworth
Has anybody denied they are playing in bedworth? But they are returning to Bedworth like I said though and you tried to pull the walls over my eyes by pretending they weren't you little scamp.
You seemed to have missed the point, why is it that when they played at the Ricoh previously games were deliberately scheduled to clash with the mens team with attendance at the game promoted as a means of protesting against SISU? That would seem to be deliberately antagonistic to me, why not play on a day when the mens team didn't have a home game? Did they expect that to improve the relationship?
But they are returning to Bedworth like I said though and you tried to pull the walls over my eyes by pretending they weren't you little scamp.
I knew they were returning to Bedworth - I said that in one of the first posts on this thread.
I believe they wanted to return to Coventry as there is little point in remaining in Bedworth.
You seem to be operating in some parrellel universe.
I said they were returning to Bedworth and you said that they played at sphinx and Westwood Heath, Oh dear.
I took the Oh dear to mean Oh dear for suggesting that they played at Bedworth. Perhaps you just calling me dear and your fat fingers put the Oh in by accident. Can't see why else you would have put a mocking Oh dear in because it now seems you agree with me that they are returning to the oval where they previously played.

Given all the people so interested in the team i thought one would have explained by now why this has been done
The northern league, where they were last season, is where they prefer for geography to play. By opting Bedworth as their ground they were the southernmost team in that league.
The other team from Coventry have moved north of Bedworth and swapped leagues next season.
So the team wanted a partnership with someone to help fund the extra travelling. Coventry United fit the bill I assume. They were banned from playing at the Ricoh and so had nowhere in Coventry to play. The article doesn't say if they have managed to get a ground in Coventry but that and the funding was what they were after.

Probably for the same reasons you did Oh and may well do again. It seems you can't read after all. I've been constantly asking why you'd support a franchise team that had opted to move out of the City and no longer plays there.

Really? Who gives a shit. This is one of those thread which highlights the desperation some will go to lay blame on the club they support.
I'm guessing the reason that they've swapped names is because CCFC can't (or won't) offer them any support. It's pretty sad that, from a community point-of-view, but I guess we are where we are financially. My only grumble is that the new Coventry United LFC seem to also want to retain the Coventry City name so that no one else can use it.
I think that's a bit off personally. If they've committed to change the name to United to get extra funding, fair enough. However it shouldn't stop someone else, perhaps even CCFC, setting up another ladies club with the CCFC name in the future - I think that's only fair.
Regardless, whether it's ladies, mens or kids, I still can't quite take to a team with a big red logo who call themselves 'Coventry United'. Each to their own I guess...

It highlights those, like you, who choose to repeatedly defend a Cayman hedge fund rather than our club, our community and our history.
Pathetic.
As I said it highlights posts by you and others who are desperate to blame the club for something. Anything. It highlights those, like you, who choose to repeatedly defend a Cayman hedge fund rather than our club, our community and our history.

That isn't what the telegraph are saying! The club remains in the premier league, remain at bedworth the only change is the name and colours. If i recall they were not voted into the 2nd division of the womens super league as they have no association with a football club, which is a major factor. This partnership will assist this. CCLFC have a decent history in there game.
