It really isn't that bad, is it? (video below cuts to song)

    Empty seats

If ST holders were ok with releasing their seat for free then yes. Most of these schemes offer a rebate to the ST holder though, so that would require a sell out in order to make sense.

    MR & AV are experts

Also brilliant at adjusting tactically. They did it midway through last season to get the best out of the players we had, and didn't really hesitate to ditch the formation that has worked for us for several years when it clearly wasn't working this season. The longevity of tenure and patience of...

    Empty seats

Works well in grounds sold out every week. Everyone wins. The seat gets used. The ST holder gets back the pro-rata value of the game and the club generates extra revenue by selling on the seat at full price. Needs to be regular sell out for it to be worthwhile though.

    Empty seats

I think it's the number that is surprising. Will always be missing ST holders, but Preston sold out yesterday and it looked like one. Also, the East Stand side of the ground there were very few empty seats.

    Empty seats

Could also be that some people openly offer to pass on their tickets on Facebook under their own name. Seem that often.

    Empty seats

Perhaps people are being caught going in on a concession ticket and it turns out this ticket has been passed on. Like you say, would be very difficult to police this.

    Empty seats

I've seen people receive written warnings about passing STs on.

    Empty seats

Yeah, it will take promotion for that to become viable. Is frustrating though that the club couldn't sell any more tickets despite these being empty seats, and an awful lot of them in the JSB section. Weirdly, there were also empty seats in blocks 4 and 5, which were opened up and fully sold...

Match Thread Coventry City - Swansea City Match Thread - Friday 29th Dec

Our awful record against Swansea shouldn't really be a factor, but it's weird how's these things seem to repeat themselves. Win would be massive.

    Boxing day roll call

But it's primarily the family section and pockets in the west stand where there are a lot of corporate ST holders (in normal seats) and also seats held back in block 2 for player families. Pretty much the areas that the TV cameras cover. Very few empty seats in the East Stand. I think we'll see...

    Boxing day roll call

My bad, I was getting mixed up with the Port Vale boxing day game. Oldham was the week before.

    Boxing day roll call

Is the pub open yet? Hopefully it will be lively. Boxing day games can be a bit flat I've found in the past. I remember that Oldham game, big crowd (in the context of that season) but was pretty dead, although the Jimmy Hill news did put a damper on things I guess.

    Boxing Day

That's fine of course, but given block 13 will be last block they can release, it's surprising the club haven't said anything. Ultimately the amount of tickets available doesn't change, but I bet there are lots out there who are oblivious are who are planning to pay on the gate.

    Boxing Day

Surprised the club have been so quiet about this approaching a sell out. Not along ago we'd celebrate the opening of a block. You know that when it does sell out there will be loads complaining they had no idea. Perhaps there are still a few to be released.

That's the last batch I think. Could possibly be sold out by the end of tomorrow.

Surprised at the criticism of Sheaf. Not his best game, and he did give the ball away. But this is because he is trying to make things happen and play through the lines to get us higher up the pitch against a team that pressed relentlessly. The alternative is that he plays sideways/backwards and...

    The noise at kick off.....

Exactly. That's the sentiment behind it. It's about this country's forgotten places and those who overcome the challenges those environments create. People taking the 'town' reference so literally is weird. It's a great anthem that fits Coventry perfectly. Love that we have adopted it.
