Closing the Back Rows, Opening Block 14

It's nonsense to say that our support will always be quiet, whereas other clubs will always be noisy. It depends on the demographic of the fans - not some historical trend extrapolated into eternity. I'd say we are quiet because it is expensive to attend games and generally it prices out the...

Closing the Back Rows, Opening Block 14

Could be true for the majority of them. My personal experience on the previous page was an example of old boys in block 20 taking exception to singing. That's out of order!

Closing the Back Rows, Opening Block 14

So because it's been quiet since we moved to the Ricoh it should be so ever more? Maybe you're just getting old Otis :) We're football supporters - we're supposed to make noise and think of innovative and amusing ways to do so.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis on City

What spin? Show me where he said that about our squad in League 1? When said in the Championship it's because it was true. Christ - more anti-Thorn nonsense. Maybe one day we can stop abusing our ex Manager!

Closing the Back Rows, Opening Block 14

Also - closing the back rows to get us all closer together will create a much better atmosphere and will generate more noise at pitch level. 'Supporters' should get onboard with such initiatives - we need to make home advantage count.

Closing the Back Rows, Opening Block 14

You said the OAP's in Block 20 "want their peace and quiet". Who cares what they want - it's a football ground.

Closing the Back Rows, Opening Block 14

Well I object to 'fans' telling other fans to be quiet. I've had this from some guy last season; angry looks when clapping or joining in with songs - and even a comment of "I don't need you shouting in my lug-holes". This is a football stadium we're talking about here - you DO NOT ask people...

If they want peace and quiet they should F*ck off. It isn't a library. W*nkers.

Closing the Back Rows, Opening Block 14

This is a great idea for improving the atmosphere but will, unfortunately, be ruined by some selfish babies.

    David Mcgoldrick signs

Yep - people love to claim to know all about players. Probably the same bunch who thought Turner was slow.

Baker: Players got Thorn the sack

Yep. So basically Carl Baker decides to 'turn up' on special family occasions. Hardly the epitome of dedication and giving 100% Carl...

Shaw: I won't ditch the diamond

This isn't a season to give a novice a chance - that's my worry. We have a squad good enough for promotion - we just need an experienced Manager who won't make basic mistakes. For once we're not searching for a miracle worker - just someone who'll get 7 or 8 out of 10 from these players each week.

Shaw: I won't ditch the diamond

Shaw gets one victory - using the exact tactics and players Thorn would have and suddenly he's the best man for the job?! Let's not get carried away here - he isn't a Manager any mote than Thorn was.

Baker: Players got Thorn the sack

Exactly. Confirms that most weeks Baker can't be arsed. Also he's right that the players let Thorn down.

    Next round draw tonight

I'm abroad til the 26th, sh1t. Please move it to the 27th Arsenal! I like the way they've already got the following round in their schedule on the official site.
  16. @richh87

How would you prefer to be promoted?

It's about time we won something - so Champions please. If it's a choice between winning the playoffs and coming second then playoffs for the excitement.

Fisher: Why Andy had to go

Much as I hate SISU and their puppets, this statement actually makes sense to me. Thorn promised he had a plan to stop relinquishing 3 points from winning positions - and clearly didn't.

    Thorns final gift....

Thorn comments will never go away. They are the new "Gray's gone", or "Jim the Gateman said..."
  19. @richh87

    my favourite "new boy".

I suppose Norwood and Nimely were someone else's too. Let's not be stupid here - Thorn is the excellent scout.

    Are you serious?
