I agree they don't. I don't think there would be that many upset if Scotland voted to leave the UK. We have taken most of their oil money off them. What other use do some people see them as being?
I read something about the Tories wanting it before the annual flu epidemic hits in January when traditionally they get slated for their failures in the NHS.Saw something earlier that SNP want an election before Salmonds trial in January. Which would explain their rush.
Not true Scotland receives more per head funding as a consequence of the Barnett formula than anywhere else except for Northern Ireland. It's what has made the flagship policies north of the border financially viable while the likes of North East England gets about half of the money. Though if we want to move back to drawing lines on maps and saying 'everyone on this side is like this and everyone on the other side is like that', let's go for it
Make your mind up

Labour won many more areas that voted leave than remain. That is a fact.Labour won Stoke.
A lot of the Brexit vote is soft. Either non voters or those with bigger priorities.
What isn't true? The Scottish oil money went to the UK government. Now we pay so Scotland gets free prescriptions. But we don't. If Scotland voted for independence they wouldn't get a massive amount of money each year. Not true Scotland receives more per head funding as a consequence of the Barnett formula than anywhere else except for Northern Ireland. Im lost. Surely that proves that Brexit vote isn’t a determining factor or they’d have lost those seats?
I’m not sure I could cope if we roll Scottish independence into this thread as well
We've had an election, get over it.Come on the Corbyn you chicken!!! Lets have an election, even the lib dems are behind it
I can't believe the EU has agreed to another extension.
Their indecision is just as bad as ours.
They should have just kicked us out.
Imagine the reaction from those Brexit lovers.Imagine the reaction from these EU lovers if that happened.
Cue Brighton and Shmmeee meltdown

OK, there's too much ridiculous posturing going on. Explain to this bear of little brain why holding an election three days earlier stops a no-deal Brexit?
Changed my mind. No Deal now!!
Presume it’s on the basis that if the remain parties win enough seats they will ensure ‘no deal’ doesn’t happen.OK, there's too much ridiculous posturing going on. Explain to this bear of little brain why holding an election three days earlier stops a no-deal Brexit?
We've had a referendum as well......We've had an election, get over it.
That'd happen on the 12th, anyway. Why three days?Presume it’s on the basis that if the remain parties win enough seats they will ensure ‘no deal’ doesn’t happen.
Extension confirmed until 31st of January.
(edit) Although we can leave sooner if a deal gets through Parliament. Best thing Boris can do then is push for the earliest possible GE to avoid delaying Brexit any longer than necessary. Like the remainers are trying to push through.

SNP need an election before Alex Hammond sexual assault case in Jan
Lib Dem’s need an election before Brexit to benefit from remain labour and Tory votes (and current high polling)
Well, it’s certainly interesting times still !

So the remainers are trying to push through a GE early (3 days) so we can avoid delaying Brexit any longer than necessary?
Either your interpretation of the strategy leave a lot to be desired...or you have swallowed someone else's bullshit again

They want the students to be able to vote more easily ie before they head home for Xmas (apparently). Not sure I get it to be honest
Why do you think Johnson put his deal in limbo after it passed second reading out of interest?
