The other point is youth has no responsibility and means that many adopt an ideology they grow out of. It’s worth noting Peter Hitchin was in his youth a genuine Trotskyite that lived in communist Russia. Once they grow up and enjoy the benefits of capitalism such nonsense remains in their past.

Correct. Very Strange because in southern EU countries such as Greece and Spain youth employment runs at around or has run at 50% and they hate the EU.

My daughter‘s boyfriend is Spanish from Andalusia. It was a poor area before the EU. He is happy to have a job in Germany. As is his father. They certainly don’t hate the EU, but the don’t like the problems in Catalonia where the other brother lives and is now seen as a „migrant“.

I agree that capitalism brings many benefits. There is a difference between capitalism and what Trump is doing in taking away all checks on it and giving companies like BMW and VW a billion bonus each which they didn’t ask for or expect. And putting his government‘s generosity on the country‘s „tab“. This right wing tilt brings governments and capitalism together. In the past this has resulted in fascism. The attacks on the press ( in England there is no need to attack a significant portion of the press ) and on the independence of the judiciary, are further pointers of what is happening. In the UK some of the press is doing the work of the far right and doesn’t need to be coerced. Pretty disgusting situation.

Those figures are 2014 and Spain had the worst at 53% youth unemployment and Greece 51%.
Worth noting Greece is now only just over 40% youth employment for 2017 which is still shocking if I’m honest.

Well I haven’t interviewed every youth citizen but would you be happy with those figures? Greece has their problems because they are in the EU and joined the euro.
Astute have given many many links on how Germany benefits and Greece doesn’t for the same reasons. They are literally trapped and can’t escape.

Yes they do have domestic issues well known but before they joined the euro it worked. They had their own currency and it balanced at the end of the day.
Now they are trapped in a currency it never should of joined and the majority of Greeks now view Germany as very unfavourable and the majority want to leave the EU by around 2 thirds according to Pew research polls which was the original point.

Greece’s problems are because hardly anyone pays tax, everyone was retiring in their 50’s, everyone was retiring on final salary pensions and other such failings in domestic policies. The EU didn’t come into it. And this is conjecture I know but I’m of the opinion that the only reason they joined the euro was in an attempt to stave off what happened anyway. After all the rules were relaxed to allow them to join and they still had to fudge the figures. Greece was a bomb waiting to drop with or without the EU or the Euro.

The Italians' main issue is the mafia, which has a massive impact upon the economy and tax revenue. The clueless 5 Star and racist La Lega Nord both hate the Euro; funnily enough, they also like Farage and back Brexit.

Exactly. The referendum was an instruction that the EU isn’t the path we want to go down. It was a vote to change the direction of the ship. One of those changes is our passport and guess who on here doesn’t like it?
